Forgot I said anything here

What had posted here was some random thing I thought I could wrap my brain around but it was more just me venting and not making a thought and since I can’t delete this without flagging it for a mod to see this is the next best option

You ever heard of punctuation? Nevertheless, you make fair points.

Sorry, but I couldn’t help myself from fixing it more. Your 3 periods weren’t enough for me, you’re happy to copy it into your original post if you like.

keyword “IF” and “TOTAL,” as Microsoft also has their hands in this too and probably have the more weight of the choices made. If the price drops off of anything from the store/credits, 343 have to first decide it from their side and then try to get pass Microsoft’s side. If they say “no” then nothing price wise changes, so the blame of saying 343 is greedy isn’t needed, it’s more on Microsoft if anything else.

we know that 343 truly does care for us, I mean they responded to the pass progression in the first 2 days of mp’s release. Again, if 343 was the sole factor in prices, then the prices would be a lot lower than what they are currently. As they are not the ones in charge, but Microsoft with the final say, I think the greedy hate should go to them and not 343. They just had to adapt to what Microsoft told them to do.

Thanks I will do that

Why do you assume it’s Microsoft and not 343’s management team that has a very… Troubling track record so far. For example if it was MS making the decisions then why is Forza and other first party studio games owned by MS are not filled with expensive mtxns and restricted customization like Infinite is?

As well 343 in multiple articles and interviews made sure to point out that the armor coating system was their baby and idea. Microsoft is the parent company and publisher, but that doesn’t mean they micromanage every aspect of the studio. If anything they at most likely give them a quote to meet and leave it up to the studio to figure out how to go about it

true they made qeustinbale ideas in the past but they also make for their mistakes so cant exactly Balme them for trying somthign new instead of not trying

I actually can blame them considering the fact that a large majority of players before and during the flights gave feedback telling them that things like armor cores and coatings were bad ideas and they straight up lied and blew us off.

Remember this tweet from 343 last year and the backlash that they blew off while essentially lying to us?

““Will there be a good variety of coatings?”
Yes. Although moving away from the old color system was a tough call, it has allowed us to go into greater detail and variation with Armor color, materials, patterns, etc. You are going to look great in Halo Infinite. “

Remember how 343 was originally going to release infinite last year but Microsoft stopped them and told them to take more time after they already had 5 years of development?

Sorry, but 343 needs to be held accountable for their actions and it is not the devs or Microsoft causing these issues, it’s the management team at 343 causing all or at least most of the problems which has been backed up by reports and comments by ex-devs and many current devs

I’m not sure who the real decision makers are. No doubt, 343 are more than Microsoft’s laborers.
Regardless, 343 is who we interact with, and they are the official face of halo.

I’m not denying that but again they also are fixing what they broke so they are trying to make this work I get it they did dumb things in the past but now they want infinite to work and it will sure it’ll have bumps along the way but it will work they are taking the feeedback given and working on fixes they know what we want and they will deliver it like you think the response we got so far would from any other dev team? No here 343 want us to be happy and probably have plans being made behind the scenes I don’t blame you for your reasons but I still see 343 trying to do a good job and so far I think once they got their groove with infinite it’ll be a banger

This is pure copium. The entire micro transaction system from halo 5 was thought of and created by 343. Not MS publisher interference.

There is a strong reason to believe that a majority of the monetization issues are 343 decisions including F2P.

A lot of people will jump to conclusions that publishers are always the cause for anti consumer decisions but it’s not always the case at all.

Developer interests are often directly aligned with publishers.

See Anthem. EA did not mandate bioware to make a looter shooter live service destiny clone. It was 100% bioware’s decision.

Or I’m trying to figure this out in why it was made and greed isn’t the reason to just throw out there

Greed is the only reason what are you Talking about?

Micro transactions in any form is pure greed. No cosmetics are worth any amount of money, especially what this and many other games charge.

Battle passes in all games are a way for multiplayer games to make basic progression systems paid dlc.

Developers and publishers are not and have never been your friend. Their goal is to extract as much money from your wallet as possible. And 343 along with Microsoft clearly believe they can extract more than $60 from you hence the F2P and egregious pricing on worthless cosmetic DLC.

Never forget that videogames are a product to be sold first and foremost

I get thst and that’s where I’m gonna leave it cause if I don’t this is gonna spiral out of control so bye

Ok fine go ahead and keep pretending 343 actually cares about you

I never said that I’m just stoping this conversation before either one of us ends up pisssed off beyond belief

Your entire post is incredibly naive and that is exactly what you indicated. That if they supposedly had full control these problems wouldn’t exist. It’s just nonsense.

And now seeing it I wish I can just delete but I can’t without flagging it for a mod to see it

Eh it’s okay. I think you are completely wrong but you shouldn’t delete it. At the very least it will create a record of disagreement for actual feedback.

My main point is many developers 343 included are often as devious as publishers and none of them are for the players.

I think it’s an issue far more broad than halo. Gamers have bizarre parasocial relationships with game developers and developers more often than not will exploit that.
