Forging spartan ops map.

The spartan ops map’s look big, I hope they can be forged!

wow, didn’t even think about that, spartan ops maps could easily make for forgeable maps, too bad that isn’t likely to happen.

Obviously they’re big, it’s an episodic (Co-op) Campaign, not multiplayer…

I think it’d be better for campaign. I wouldn’t mind getting rid of kill stealing friendly AI.

I hope you realize that the AI aren’t intelligent enough to navigate custom playspaces on their own. You would have to set up nodes that tell the AI where to go and it’s a process that’s probably too complicated to be done in a simple map editor like Forge.

What if the Forgeable Spartan Ops maps weren’t for Spartan Ops but were imported into multiplayer to serve as new Forge Worlds? It would probably be a cheaper option than developing all new Forge Worlds. As you can see now by the complaints of Erosion (which I somewhat agree with, cave is too similar to asteroid) people still want more variety. Granted, it’s not so easy as just copying and pasting them into multiplayer, they’d have to section a sizeable chunk off with a wall or something else which requires a change in geometry and I’m sure there is a little work getting it to function with Forge/competitive MP but I’d take it in a heartbeat, even if I had to buy them in a separate map pack. We’ve already seen a volcanic map and a sandy cliff-like area and both would be a welcome addition I think.

I guess it could work…

It might be difficult though. I know campaign maps and multiplayer maps aren’t loaded the same way.
