I have been trying to set teleporters and power-ups to be usable only by specific teams and not by other teams, but have been unsuccessful to date.
Is there a way to make both teleporters and power-ups usable by only a specific team?

I dont know if there is or not never tried it.
But i have wondered if you could do it or not.
Unfortunately, there isn’t.
The best you can do is control the circumstances. For example, a teleporter whose exit is inside of a Teleporter Frame cannot be used by Elites in, say, Invasion, because they’re too tall.

But why do they bother to give us a “team” option for virtually every Forgable object if it has no effect?

Two reasons.
1. IIRC a Structure object assigned to a Team will have its lights change to that team color, but only if the Team is present. So a Green Team Strut, for example, will only be green in Custom Games when there are players on Green Team.
2. That, and you can apply most objective labels to any item. If I need to save on objects for some reason (maybe I’ve run out of Hill Markers or something), I can set a ramp to Green Team AS_GOAL and then give it a Shape, thereby turning it into the Bomb Plant Point for Green Team in an Assault match.

That makes sense for things like ramps, columns, bridges, that do change color and do not move around, but that does not make sense for weapons that are picked up and used, vehicles that move, or armor abilities.
I’m working on a Sniper Hunt game type and it would be allot easier to designate specific weapons, power-ups, and armor abilities for use by specific teams, rather than rely on the honor system that is often forgotten in the heat of battle.
