Everyone is complaining about the battle pass, and 343 is obviously making this a priority and is communication this the community, but the BP is only cosmetic, who cares. The gameplay needs some fixes too, that are more important than what you look like.
Here’s the short list of things that still need addressed:
- Aiming still feels off. This is not my opinion there are hundreds of people commenting this.
- Player collision needs added back in.
- Some weapons need some serious buffs.
- We need more weapon options in the game. Where did all the guns go.
- The UI and multiplayer needs a lot of fixes. Can’t even pick the game I want to play.
I get that people want to customize their spartan, but it really doesn’t matter. The only reason 343 cares is because thats how they are going to make money. I’m fine with them making money too, but I’m not spending a dime until the game either gets some gameplay updates, or at the least 343 addresses these issues with what they are planning.

I am curious in regards to the aiming, I had a friend with the same issue (he is on controller) and it turned out he had to hard adjust the controller Deadzone, acceleration, and sensitivity settings since the defaults were just bad. He went from 3 and 12 every match to like 15 and 2 after tuning to his liking.
A lot of people have just been making the point that aiming feels off, or difficult. I believe on controller. I know that some of this was addressed in the flight results, but I’ve read and watched youtube videos where people are making comments regarding aiming.
My point is more that it would be nice if 343 would address players concerns about something other than the battlepass. I’m just tired of hearing about it.
I care about cosmetics. I would not play this game if everybody was running around looking like characters out of hello kitty island adventure nor would I play it if there were no textures and everything was the same color. Video games are a visual medium and the visuals matter

I understand your concern, and I think its valid. I personally just don’t care about what our characters look like. I played Halo CE when I was in high school and everyone looked the same, but the game played great. No issues.
I also feel like cosmetics are pointless as the game is so fast past, and you’re coved by a color highlight now, I can’t tell what your armor is anyway.
I just want to hear about game fixes from 343, not what they are going to do to get us to spend money or colors.
No kidding. 343 knows their current audience well. It wouldn’t surprise me down the road for sure.
That highlight system is a good example of how the system in place for these cosmetics have made the game worse from a gameplay perspective. It looks terrible and completely takes away your ability to try and blend into the environment to give the enemy a harder time reacting to you.
I’m with you on the gameplay issues as well and I think we should be talking about both to encourage 343 to make the game better

I’m sure there are other issues that need addressed, I just presented my short list of things I feel are issues besides the cosmetic stuff.
I guess it’s just frustration when previous halo games came out fully complete without many issues. Its crazy to me that people are more upset with changing their spartans look, than having a fully formed game with everything. It’s one thing to change something or add something but Halo Infinite is missing many elements that Halo should have.
The fact that when I play and a person on my team quits or even when they all quit and it’s just me I feel like we should at least get a little something towards our rank progression.
I mean I never quit a game 9 out of 10 times but this F2P is good I guess but you get people who never played Halo. That is cool but you can’t just quit the game because it’s not “COD” or “Fortnite”
I should almost be halfway thru diamond rank but my team’s lack of playing objectives thinking this is slayer caused my rank to either go down or barely go up when we win games. I had a killing frenzy one game went 19 and 5 and lost. Rank still went down getting to the point why play ranked if it’ll just reset once the new season starts.
IDK I grew up playing Halo since the O.G. Xbox / O.G. Xbox live guess I was just used to a different time on Halo.
I like the game but it’s a beta I know it’ll get better just frustrating when you try to play competitively and stuff outta your control affects your progression.
Also, the new progression is better but could be improved once the full game comes out. I did rank up from about LVL 25 to almost 30 during about 4 hours granted I was doing challenges since I didn’t wanna keep having my rank go down.
Also, fix the music. This new score is awful. I would prefer to just have the classic choir/theme. Hell, just use the original CE score for this game and I would be happy. This new music feels terrible and I absolutely abhor it.

Sure progression is the hot topic right now, but like you said players are quitting games which doesn’t help you out any. Well maybe players would quit less if they got to play the game mode they actually wanted instead of being stuck in capture the flag or whatever.
I feel like if gameplay issues where addressed first many other issues with fix them selves organically.
For example turn player collision and friendly fire back on would create less nade spam, because then players would get booted from killing teammates. Allow players to play the game they want, less quitters, which would increase player performance which should intern increase xp/challenges received. Meaning if the challenge is to get flags, people will play capture the flag and actually try. Where as, if their challenge is to only get kills they can play slayer. Right now choosing your game type is not an option.
This is my point. The game needs fixed more than the battle pass system at the moment. They only reason the battle pass is priority is because thats how 343 makes their money. I just think they are doing it backwards.
I think the music sounds like a rip-off of “No Man’s Sky”. It sounds exactly like it.
Sadly that’s just par for the course. Only singleplayer games really launch in a complete state and even then, not always because of “early access” programs

Yes, I agree with you on that.
Halo was on top of the video game market before battle pass but like you said it’s the time we live in now with games pretty much everything. Yea you get it free but if you pay you can skip this or that or get this or that. Every company does it.
OMG yes, I forgot the grenade spams that are like the top 3 needing fix. Booting players should be in soon I would think since it’s on MCC.
Also wouldn’t mind if you are on a team and it’s 3 v 4 or basically, your team quit and it’s 1 v4 have the option to have people join the game and get on that team in ranked I know it’s on social modes.
Also if you do that you still get some XP towards your rank as long as you do decent or at least not have your rank drop a lot since you have a full team so it’s 4 v4.

Honestly if 343 would address the number of gameplay issues, not necessarily fix them right now, just make a statement to say “here’s what we are going to do, and how soon” I think that would be helpful.
Also if they want people to spend money, the easiest thing would be to significantly reduce prices. I mean its digital stuff that literally has no physical value, why is everything so expensive. Its not like they are shipping us carbon fiber shoulder pads from amazon, its $20 for a digital helmet and color pallet. It’s a little ridiculous.
