Forget about opinions 343, look at the stats!

Halo 4 already IS a commercial success, meaning 343 doesn’t have to do a damn thing from now until Halo 5 and they’ll still be in the money, but what happened to game developers who actually gave a crap about their game? There is no way in hell this game should have ever even made it past the Alpha stages in terms of the multiplayer, so much is wrong with this game and the numbers support what I’m saying.

I mean opinionated stuff aside, things like a flawed JiP system, no ranking system, extreme lack of customizable options, and god awful maps have turned Halo 4 into a ghost town not even a month after it’s release. How the hell is this acceptable to you 343? Not to mention the fact you’re pretty much keeping all of us in the dark in terms of what you plan to do to fix this game. I’m not going to sit here and pretend my idea of Halo is better than anyone else’s, but I will say that this Halo, as it is now, isn’t appealing to anyone.

Here is what we’d like to see…

  • More playlists. 1v1, 2v2, Team Snipers (no radar), SWAT (with rotational options such as SWAT Magnums or SWAT Objective), Clan Battles (Yes, bring back Clans from Halo 2), FFA (none of this objective FFA bullcrap, just bring back regular FFA for F’s sake), MLG (whenever they release their settings), etc.

  • Better maps, stop with the huge maps, and stop putting boxes everywhere, these are the worst maps I’ve ever seen in a FPS and the trailer to the new map pack shows nothing but BTB inspired maps. The only playable map this game has is Haven.

  • Create a ranked playlist with no JiP and visual ranks and a social playlist with JiP, just like Halo 3 had.

  • Take out stupid things like the inability to be shot out of scope and the inability to turn insta-respawn off. I understand you’re a new game developer taking over a game and you want to leave your own sorta ‘feel’ to it but this isn’t how you do it.

  • Give us more customizable options. Halo 4 is the least customizable Halo since Halo CE.

It’s just dumb that thousands of people are saying the EXACT SAME THING in terms of whats wrong with this game and nothing is being done.

Yeah man totally agree with you. One thing 343 needs to fix with a TU besides what you posted is, Working Custom game options, File share on Waypoint, and all of these glitches in game.

Good post OP. As a new user to this site yet a long-time fan of Halo, I’m glad to see that other concerned players are on here and share some of the same ideals as myself. I like alot of the points OP made. As an oldschool Halo player and I feel like I shouldn’t even have to be on here posting, but the competition and spirit of Halo is lacking in multiplayer and something needs to be done about it. I’m gonna stick around to see what 343 does with this great game, but I do want them to pick it up a bit and listen to the community.

I totally agree, there are plenty of things that need to be fixed. I just don’t understand why there was a rush. If they beta tested this game and then listened like bungie did with halo 3, the “Halo 4” we know today would have been dead and gone months ago. Take your time next time 343i, we don’t want a rushed COD experience. You don’t need to rush to get a game out, especially if you release a quality product like Bungie did in halo 3.

You should come to terms with the fact that Halo 4 is going to be bad. So when it never improves, you won’t be disappointed…again.

I also hope for change halo was my competition game … what 343 did to matchmatching is disgusting… much need to be fix for this to feel like halo… at first I was like ok… now im like yeah this is not halo at all

I agree OP.

However, it’s clear 343 doesn’t give a bat’s -Yoink- about what you think or about anyone else’s opinion. There are countless complaints about this game, the only thing that has been addressed are the map exploits. They do not even seem to feel any urgency in fixing the server/lag issues. They are probably distracted from getting their basic game right, because they have their hands full on their ridiculous DLC scheme. A DLC scheme that will probably result in maps never to be cycled in matchmaking, just like in reach.
