Forge's Pelican Transport needs better animations

I remember using the Pelican Transport feature in HW1 a lot. I loved watching 2 Pelicans show up to transport 3 tanks to their destination with some very natural looking animations for the Pelicans heading to their destination. It was fluid and believable for a Pelican to do some smooth maneuvers around any obstacles during its flight.

However, the Pelican Transport for Forge in HW2 looks horrible. It’s like this feature was thrown in at the last second since there’s no fluid motion in the Pelican at all. In HW2, this ONE Pelican can somehow carry an ENTIRE army and then just moves around the map like Pac Man…I’m not joking. The Pelican doesn’t even bank to the left/right when turning, it moves ridiculously fast with no acceleration/deceleration when moving from a single location. Hell, even the engines don’t move from its landing position.

Imagine a Spartan taking on an entire Covenant force, but while T-Posing only…Do you know how ridiculous(and hilarious) that would look?

Therefore I believe there should be changes to Forge’s Pelican Transport ability, both visually and physically. Here’s what I’d like to see:
-The same fluid animations from HW1’s Pelican Transports. Includes proper acceleration/deceleration motion.
-More than one Pelican to show up when picking up a large force.
-The ability to be upgraded with unlimited distance for transports. Also upgrades the Pelicans to Gunship Pelicans with increased health. Can fight back obviously.
-Not sure about this, but if a Pelican Transport is destroyed, occupants will be reduced to half health or lower.

That’s about it. Yeah I know, there are bigger things to worry about than stuff like this. But this just looks super ridiculous to see as an ability.

Edit: Here’s a video I made that shows exactly what I’m talking about.

I haven’t seen anyone using it, but damn that sounds terrible.

Yeah especially when you consider that the drop-ship animations look good, which use the same vehicle design. It looks janky and unfinished.

Hahaha I was about to bring that up! The spirit looks fantastic, what must’ve happened to the pelican!

Never actually used this leader power in the HW2, but I remember how useful and fluid it was in HW 1.
I just figured it was the same, apparently not after seeing your post. I will for sure go check it out now lol

I actually planned on making my main build around this ability. There’s nothing cooler that sending a small scout force to secure an lz then send in the pelican. It really is a pity as the cool down and range on it is quite good. I really like the way we can now move into the fog of war. It’s kinda like how they did it in halo 1. Flying blind, no where safe.

It’s actually fun in blitz, and using it can give you a big advantage, similar to ship masters teleport

Just uploaded a video that showcases the lack of animations the Pelican Transport has. Also edited the main post to have this link posted as well.

Thank you. Say, how do you get links to be clickable like that?

Edit: Nvm, I realized why I can’t post links.
