Forged maps jukebox.Get your map played by playing

Halo 5 playlist with Forged maps that accepts your map after you earned points by playing maps of others.

Imagine this. You can select one of your maps as candidate for the playlist and select the number of players it is intended for. Each time you play a game in the playlist you earn a point. Say your map is for four players and you have played four times, then your map is chosen as the next map to play. And when your map is for 8 players you need 8 points and so on. In case you have enough points while there are more players in the lobby with enough points for their map, the game chooses the map of the player with the most surplus points. In case your map is not chosen you get another point added to your total. If your map is being played the number of players is substracted from your points.

So in summary, you get rewarded with having your map played after playing enough maps of others.

I put the idea on xbox.uservoice.com:

This could be cool, but what happens when you start getting horribly broken maps? There has to be some quality control somewhere

I mean they could have a yay or nay feedback system after the match, resulting in it won’t get played again unless some changes are made. Then we could test our maps every so often improving our skills along the way as map makers.

Also there has to be basic maps in the Playlist so players can start earning their points in the beginning, also idk if it would work trying to make a matchmaking system that will match players to everyone’s custom map limit. That being said maybe there could be 2 Playlist one for 4v4 and 8v8?

Thanks for your reply! Good point. You can always quit a map without being banned when it is broken or you really don’t like being in it. The only thing then is that you don’t get a point which would bring you closer to having your own map played. I assume that anyone in the playlist wants to have their own map played, so players at least try to play a map until the end of the match :). There is quality control in the sense that you have to invest time to have your own map played. (A four player map needs you to finish four matches in maps of others for each time that it is played.) So you want to offer something that works to some extend. Additionally it could be made so that it is possible to enter the playlist without having a map selected that is your own map. Then it is avoided that people create a dummy map just to play the maps of others.

Love that! A ranking with stars between one and five would also be nice, then you know where the map stands
