This would probably require a huge overhaul on the forge engine, but I think this idea could be amazing if done right. I’ve always dreamed of being able to create my own firefight maps, with Mob spawning and everything.
While I do agree it would be cool I dont think (I could easily be wrong) But i dont think you can have 24 players in a custom game. Maybe when and if they introduced a PVE style warzone then you could have a 12 man warzone/firefight type of thing. Also maybe if 343 would add some of the best community made warzone maps to the warzone playlist because as we all know they are severely lacking at the time being. But yes I would love to see something like that implemented.
I would love to be able to explore those maps without people always trying to kill me. Even just custom games in the map would be fine for me…
343 already said that they might do it for 6, but no chance in 5.

See the only way I can see this being possible is if they release a Warzone Small Playlist that ran in the Arena sandbox and just added Reqs. Custom Games are hardwired for 16 players max I don’t think they could change that easily. The end result would probably be something like Dominion.

if 343 was actually able to dedicate all of their staff to Halo 5 during production, instead of trying to fix MCC, then who knows. This may be a feature. I don’t think we’ll see forge firefight in this game (I hope I’m wrong). It could be a thing in Halo 6, though.
I think this is a great idea. If the community could forge an entire warzone map and game, then 343i could take the community favorites and release them as permanent warzone maps just as they did in community breakout and past halo games. At the rate that we are receiving new warzone maps (both standard and assault), I do not believe that we will have too many more coming our way. Therefore, having community created warzone maps would keep the game fresh without 343i needing to spend nearly as much time and manpower themselves. Win-win.
