Are they still going to call it “Forge” in Halo 4? It doesn’t seem fitting considering it’s a Bungie reference. In fact, it’d just be stupid to still call it Forge.
I was just wondering if anything in particular had been released saying it was the official name of the map editor or something like that.

We may not even get something like Forge this time around, we may just get a straight up map maker similar to Far Cry 2.
Nothing of this sort has been released to the general public yet, although I wouldn’t be surprised after Anniversary if these sort of things were being released to us.
Sorry, but it is not a reference in any way. The word ‘forge’ means ‘To smith items at a tool station to create weapons, armour and other tools’.
The word ‘forge’ is over 1000 years old, and therefore, not a reference.

I didn’t say that. I said that the use of it in Halo 3 and Reach was a reference to another game. And I was wondering if 343 will still be using it because they’re… well… not Bungie. It was a simple inquiry and such an overt attempt to make me look stupid when, you are, in fact, wrong, was not necessary.
Darn, then we can’t call it ‘Matchmaking’ ‘Campaign’ ‘Custom Games’ or ‘Theatre’ anymore since Bungie used it.

We won’t get that because maps made in that editor have to be downloaded just like DLC does in order to play on it. Forge is superior in that aspect.

That isn’t what I’m saying at all. My last few posts have been dedicated to, and based around the of me NOT meaning that. The fact that you still think I mean that is ludicrous at the very least and insane in the situation’s maximum magnification of significance and reality.

If it is included which I have no doubt it will be, I don’t see why they wouldn’t keep the same name. Bungie has given up all rights to the Halo franchise and supports 343 to the fullest extent, I doubt they would want 343 to change the name of Forge. The same goes for Firefight in my opinion.
