I want to get into Forging my own map but I’ve never done it before and the options in Halo 5 is a lot more than previous Halo games. Any tips or ideas on where I should start? I have a few ideas of redesigning old halo maps. Again, I’ve never done Forge so I’m new to it.

Well, if you want to know how to use it, Forge Labs is a great place to start.
Best way to start out is to make a throw away map, just go through the menus and drop a bunch of items, that will get you familiar with what pieces you have to work with. Then start playing with the tool settings and make random stuff.
Forge is so involved now you really need to get your feet wet and know what you can use and how to use it before you even start thinking of making maps if you are new to it.
I have been Forging since Halo 3, made some great stuff in Reach and would say now I am not even a novice Forger with everything they have added in Halo 5.
Hey what the heck’s up with H5 forge-it keeps saying my settings prohibit me from using forge.

You may be too young. If you are, ask your parents to change your settings to adult settings and that you’ll be responsible and all that. The same thing happened to one of my younger friends.
Forgehub is also a helpful resource, but aka Willbus is right: just get in there are start working with the tools and the objects. Throw away projects are the key. If you try to start with your first serious project you will be seriously frustrated and overwhelmed. Take it slow and easy and go to the Community Creations forum with questions. People are always helpful and usually knowledgeable. Best of luck! And no re-makes!
YouTube, brother. YouTube.

I’m not serious about a project yet. I’ll just play around with it till I get the hang of it. Thanks. I’ve had some old favorite maps in my head for inspiration actually.

I mean I’m in my late teen years, just not quite 18. I never had these issues with other forges in other games.
