Forge World

I would like forge World from Halo Reach to return I relly like that map but I like the forge system in Halo 2 Anniversary better were it is item based instead of credit based there is so much more you can do for example in Halo Reach you can select four turrets to put on the map in Halo 2 Anniversary you can select 26 I think it is might be off a little bit on that anyway what do you all think

As long as they add about 4 texture styles for each object i’d be cool with whatever. Having all the forge maps look the same again would kind of suck.

Ah yes, they grey Reach maps. Halo 5 fixed this by adding textures but in return made the newly textured forge items really flat and unnatural looking. They def need to improve both aspects with Infinite.

Can we make different font size options for the forge menu. The menu in Halo 5 is difficult to read and probably needs bolder or larger text fonts. also a graphical sense of direction in navagation in forge menu for editing maps would be great.

I want:
255+ item limit on each individual item
No credit limit
Options to enable/disable clipping and destruction for each item
Blanked map variants shipped with the game
Flatgrass (Very large flat map)
Void (absolutely nothing) map
Many options for skyboxes and atmospheric effects
Light level and other visual effect options
All items available on all maps
Primary/secondary color variants for all items
Breakout-style (and drop-pod?) spawn points
Elephants, scarabs, you name it.
Intuitive method to “glue” items to large vehicles
Player trait zones (low-grav zones, etc.)
Force push/pull zones (wind, water, grav, etc.)
Spawn players in vehicles options
Logic systems for more complex gamemodes (if/then)
Switches, triggers, activateable items, etc.

Note that some of these options may be available in Halo 5, but i haven’t checked it out. I’m going off of what i feel has always been missing from Halo 3 and Reach (mostly).

I honestly was never able to get into Forge mode in past Halo titles. But I always do find fan-made maps interesting, especially when they get recognized and placed in online matches.

Forge World will always go down as one of the most influential maps of the franchise, and seeing it come back in Halo Infinite would be really cool. Perhaps they could even go a step further and say that forge world takes place on the same ring that’s featured in the campaign. Then put forge world into the campaign as an actual mission, as a sorta throwback easter egg.
