C’mon 343.
You make 3 forge environments and this is the one you show off?
That’s a fail. We want to see a snow or desert themed forge space. Something, anything new.

This may have been the first demo of Forge, but I’m pretty positive the official reveal will be at SDCC next week. I’m sure that is where we’ll be seeing the other Forge spaces (likely one snow and one sand) while they got the more familiar-looking space out of the way at RTX.
I hope there’s a good, sandy place we can play with.
Because I’d really like to remake Sandtrap…
Do we really need another Forge World? Its cool, but you cant really use the entire thing. You can only use a couple areas at most to have a good map. As long as we have a good variety of highly customize-able maps, I’ll be fine. A map with the magnitude of Forge World seems like a wast to me because its one big, generally single themed, map with some stuff to work with.
Divide What you get in Forge World into a few smaller maps and you can change the themes at least slightly enabling for Forge Maps that aren’t so bland after a while because 90% percent of maps people make are all from the same map, and the game will have more maps in general instead of limiting it to a small amount. Reach’s Forge World probably took enough space to make 4 or 5 maps alone which each could have been different in theme, size, and setting.
You know, they mightn’t have the ‘desert one’ polished enough to be even shown to the public.
They’ve shown this one because it is functional and all they wanted to do was show off the new tools.

This. 343 made a great decision in making 3 forge spaces.

What do you mean by this? We can forge on all regular maps as well right?
Thats one of five forge environments so please stop your winning.

Yes, but it’s great that 343i made these three maps specifically for forge and made them with their own unique objects (That aren’t grey like Halo Reach). I think it’s great. >:D

Oh I was agreeing with you and yes, however the 3-forge spaces are way more forge-friendly.
I predict we’ll see more from Forge. for now, I think they’re just showing us the basic improvements on a map we’re more familiar with. I’m guessing 343i will show us the ‘other’ forge worlds soon enough.
It just has a similar design. Personally, I like it.

I know you were agreeing with me. I just hadn’t herd about these 3 maps made just for forge till now.

Oh, I misread your reply. My bad
But yeah during the forge showcase they mentioned that Ravine was one of three major forge spaces included in Halo 4.
Thats not a fail at all… It doesn’t look anything like forge world… Can we ever just enjoy what they show us?
I’m not really a forger, but every thing 343i showed at RTX has gotten me very excited for it. Especially now that we’ll have 3 forge specific environments.
They said we get 3 Forge Worlds to play with on the disc. Theoretically they could release more with the future map packs. Kinda like how we went from Foundry to Sandbox in Halo 3. Or they could make future maps more forge friendly after seeing what people do with what’s on the disc.
Some people just can’t be satisfied
If I remembered correctly they said Forge AREAS and not worlds. Difference being there will be multiple maps that are much smaller, different environments, and themed pallets. Compared to Forge WORLD where there is only one and it requires you to fly for a minute or two depending if you fly as a monitor or in a vehicle.
