I can certainly say I’m extremely pumped for the incoming information surrounding forge. (if you didn’t know they’re suppose to be talking about it next week) There’s a lot I personally hope for, more in depth scripting, weather, day/night cycle, several sky box options, selection of block skins, and simply more blocks to play with. That’s my list, whats yours? What are you most excited for and hoping they’ve added?
What if there was an “sculpt” feature, like you can manipulate pieces to be different shapes (like have a 1x1 flat block be formed into a 1x1 flat star), I came up with this because I was remembering Need for Speed Carbon’s autosculpt feature.
I’m not a forger, but obviously I reap the benefits of those that do forge. So I hope it is improved as much as they claim, and would like to extend a thank you to our community cartographers. Your efforts continually make my Halo experiences ever more pleasant.
I really hope there are weapon skins and weapon mods also pelicans and other big UNSC vehicles
I hope for two main additions to Forge.
-
Some kind of streamlined system to promote maps to a matchmaking playlist dedicated to community content. Without some kind of community playlist to showcase community made maps in matchmaking, then 99% of the forge content will go unused, unseen, unplayed, and unappreciated. Forge has been, and will continue to be, an untapped gold mine. Sharing maps for custom games does not cut it.
-
Bots. At the very least, bots will allow players to play on their custom made maps.
Without one or both of these changes, then I will not spend any time on forge.
Nothing new because they didn’t announce anything yet, I doubt there is anything revolutionary or unique compared to the last game

What if theybdidn’t announce anything new yet because they were waiting?
Frankie has already said that there were significant improvements.

They’ve already announced information over the next couple of weeks. Saving the best for last I suppose. I’ve also read that this is the biggest iteration of forge since its inception and they’ve made a lot of big improvements. Every Halo game has made a big leap in forge so I imagine they’ve gone all out of this one as well.

Yes. And kinda yes.
I’ve wanted a system to share my forge creations since Halo 3, and the file share system just wasn’t enough. They need some sort of browser where you can upload and discover awesome maps. I think if they want more players in custom games this is a must. I haven’t played much custom games since Halo 3 for this very reason. I still like to make stuff but it goes completely unnoticed at this point.
Bots would be cool but its not a deal breaking personally.

Thats a really cool idea. I’ve thought of ideas like that as well. I just want a lot of unique pieces to use. I’ve been told that the Breakout maps are completely forged and every piece if a forge piece, which is awesome, but on top of that it seems like theres a lot to mess with. We’ll see, super pumped.
Honestly the first idea i always had in mind is since the whole Windows 10 & Xbox thing, I would hope for a Windows 10 full map editor that would let you export your maps into your Xbox One. One can only dream right?

Brilliant, why isnt that a thing

They are talking about the biggest change in forge if I remember right, so anything in the sorts of that would hype me up madly. As if I’m not already hyped up for H5
Covenant themed stuff. That would be heaven for a lot of forgers.
