As we know forge is expected to drop today. Let’s post any news and info about it in this thread and try to keep it close to the top so others can see.
With that said, what’s the first thing you are gonna forge? I’m gonna remake helsmdeep 2552 from Halo 3 and Reach
EDIT: There has been no forge news on waypoint or twitter as of 7am Pacific time (using that since that’s the time zone of 343) I see people saying it will launch at or before 3pm Pacific time.
I’m gonna make myself a pony and ride off into the sunset.
Make Turf on one of the maps, not sure which would look better, I do like the Turf on Halo Online though, so maybe Glacier would be a great choice
I’m gonna make an obstacle course. These new movement mechanics are perfect for it.
Probably just use all weapons and vehicles, then make a slayer map.
Some place I can go and relax, a mountain retreat maybe.

Well seeming it’s gonna take all of us about a week to get used to the controls in just gonna be fiddling, getting used to the controls and making it fluent, and looking at all the pieces, weapons, vehicles, naturals and then once I’ve got all of that sorted I’ll be learning scrpipting so I know it off by heart, I could never 100% get to grips with H2A scripting, was a lot to it! But seeming it’s a completely new forge and the advise we’ve been given is to forget everything and learn it all over again, it’s a good opportunity to learn absolutely everything! Including scripting, that’s my plan, my fist map will either be a narrows remake or my map I’ve been planning since reach, but I’ve never been able to make it, hopefully on H5 I can!
I think I’ll also try to make Guardian (from Halo 3, not the giant owl Promethean things)

I’ll remake one of my favorite maps from Reach, Sword Base. I’ll tune it so it’s more akin to maps in 5 that are perfect for all the new movement mechanics.

I said expected, in the sense that the general consensus of the community is that it will launch today for several reasons.
It was week of 15, a really weird way to measure weeks.
Playlist reset happened last night. 343i talked about resetting ranks for the update.
I think they didn’t say the 15th exactly because it gives them room for if something with the update goes wrong. Then they aren’t going to be attacked.
My friends and I usually play a custom gamemode called ‘UNSC vs Covenant’. As you’ve probably guessed from the name, we have two teams where each side can only use weapons and vehicles from the side they choose. So one of the first things me and a friend are going to be making is a map to go with it; they tend to be quite large and asymmetrical so they tend to take a long time, but this new forge should speed up the time it takes.
While my friend isn’t around I’ll probably just work on original maps that would be good for ffa or team slayer, I just find it fun to make my own maps and test them out.
I’m going to weld two barricades together and create the infamous armored rollypollie warthog.

its not though. The week in gaming and other media like movies etc, start on a Tuesday.

Means it either drops today or tomorrow.
The message of the day changed around midnight, it had three messages, and now it has two. So there is a little change, what it means, who knows
