I seriously think its near impossible to beat anders as forge. I’ve tried so many different things but it seems like she can’t be beat.
I defend against hogs with two turrets, and then I go striaght for tanks. They have no air or depot. I hit there base, and their gremlins (2 or 3) seem to be able to handle 3 tanks with the help of 2 front turrets. If that doesn’t happen, in another game they’ve lost their depot or air, but still are pumping out gremlins from another freakin base that they’ve managed to get early on because of hogs.
I don’t care how simplistic or complex your strat is, let me know it. I’ve had like 300 games against anders, and sure I win sometimes, but when it comes to high level play, I can’t stop them.
I’ll be playing as cutter and forge from now on (mostly cutter) because I’m sick of not being able to get a early base like the other leaders.
So any cutter strategies would be helpful too.
Hogs? Elephant? Barracks? Early game I usually know what to do, but I am still in need of some help.
Late game I kind of suck too. Any help is appreciated, even though this thread was poorly put together. Sorry.

Initial heads up though - you will lose 9/10 games against an Anders if you don’t go hogs (with the exception of Chasms).
i dont play as forge in 1v1 but i lose to plenty of them (while using anders/cutter)
you have to go hogs against anders on most maps. anders will usually get gunner 1st so make sure you hogs are hidden.
going hogs gives you map control and you can harass. if you are just building turrets you’ll lose your hooks (if you ever got them) and you cant expand as fast as someone who makes hogs
as cutter you should use elephant 1st on chasms and you dont really need hogs, but go hogs on other maps

Blood Gulch for instance…I don’t build turrets on blood gulch, I go barracks 2nd (as forge).

I have two builds on that map.
- Reactor 3rd gunner, barracks 5th
- Barracks 1st, reactor 5th gunner
I usually do the first build if I have the good side (ramp to his supply hook) so I can do some hog harassment and prevent Anders from getting it. I feel having gunner hogs before a barracks is just much safer in general. While I’m harassing his hook I’ll take my hook with two marines. I’ll keep making hogs + flamers and fight for the hooks.
The second build will get you the supply hook much earlier and you’ll benefit from it for much longer. Thing is, you’ll lack gunner hogs for a while, so an Anders can take advantage of that. A lot of Anders players go barracks 1st as well on this map, and they can make infantry/pump hogs more efficiently than Forge can with that build. I personally don’t like this build as much, but it still has won me games.
