How about a Forge Ranking system?
It would work like this there will be a number of how many votes for how skilled the player’s forge skill is so if the person is a good forger they would rank up in votes on the FRS. But i’m guessing your wondering how to stop people from spamming votes by making sure the person vote has to of had played the map the person made and then they can vote how well they forged the map.
Example: Say I played a map made by a friend SamSm1th and I wanted to vote on how well he forged the map by giving him a 10 star rating. But lets say I didn’t like the map i would give him a 1 star rating. And your wondering how does this work with the FRS well i will tell you.
1-5 Stars is a negative vote to the forger who made the map.
6-10 Stars is a good rating to the forger.
So 1-5 stars is -1 vote. But 6-10 stars are +1 votes.
But each time a player votes on how well the creator for that map forged. They would have to revote on the forge skill of the player by rating them with a higher rating than before when they voted which would reset the old vote. So every vote you get you can rank up in the FRS. And it will make forgers be better at what they like doing when the forge for a better incentive to the map creator of the map.
FRS Ranks:
Forger -100 votes
Builder - 200 votes
Constructor - 300 votes
Cartographer - 400 votes
High Ranks:
Master Forger - 500 votes
Master Builder - 1000 votes
Master Constructor - 2000 votes
Master Cartographer - 4000 votes
Master Mapmaker - 5000 votes
And for customs i think there should be a way like this.
Map Type - Being able to filter the maps by the ODM. (Original Disc Map)
How many players for map? - How many players can be on the map 0-24.
How many downloads for the map? - Filter what map you wanna see by how popular it is by how many downloads.
Creator’s List - A list of your Favorite Maps/Gametypes in a small list of 50 maps and 50 gametypes.
343 Daily/Weekly Map Round up - 343 Chooses a group of maps they personally like from the community.
Community Map Showcases - Community forge maps make it into Matchmaking and available to download map/Gametype.
Map Packs - A way to put out cool free Maps in groups of 3-12 maps per pack.
Map Gametypes - Gametypes for maps you have downloaded from the map creator.
Friendly Forgers - Where forgers can keep updates for their maps to be organized.
Forgers Folly - A place to have a Random Monthly Custom map / With Gametype.
Fundays - A Personal Forger Library for Friends to check out other friends maps/gametypes.
Also we should have the ability to put a custom screenshot of the map as the picture of the in the Custom Games Lobby so you can show what the map looks like before others play it so like when you load up maps you see your Map screenshot instead of the original disc map picture.
