I wanted to discuss some of the issues I have been facing with Forge and the Theater system.Recently, Forge was released and has been overall…AMAZING! I’ve already finished my first map and it’s been a greatly-frustrating, but epic ride. One of the first things I noticed was my inability to use “Boost” by holding in the left stick while moving. It works for only one of my friends who uses Forge. It simply doesn’t work for me and all of my other friends. It’s not a huge issue when making small maps, but quite the contrary when constructing massive battlefields. Do you face the same problem? Have you fixed the problem some how?
Next, I noticed that the “light-mapping” of objects gets very “wonky” really early in a maps construction. I understand that you must “bake lights” in order to get the final lighting effect, but many, MANY objects will be completely discolored or entirely black, even if the object’s primary color is white. I don’t understand this issue and would like to know more about it.
Now, for Theater mode, I’ve encountered an issue that I’m not sure is supposed to exist, or is in fact a bug of some kind. Lets say I want to make a machinima on a map that I’ve recently constructed, or simply take pictures or videos of the map to feature it somewhere; I would imagine the best place to do that is Theater mode. Obviously, it’s the only “best” way to do either one, but for some reason, I simply cannot locate or view any recent custom games of the custom map to play in Theater mode. It only shows Arena and Warzone games. Does anyone face this issue or has faced this issue? Does anyone know of a fix?
