FORGE TARGET/SKILLS PRACTICE

Calling on Master Forgers (this is a referring to Halo 5’s Forge of course)

First… I’d like to say that I’ve always been amazed by what people out there can create. From Halo 3 to Halo 5, Forge has allowed Halo to be expressed from the minds of many in unique ways. Seriously rock on to all of you that have put in the time to create these great maps and various experiences.

Ok… on to the main topic…

FORGE TARGET/SKILL PRACTICE:

I haven’t been able to create this myself and seeing what others have been able to do maybe someone else will take the mantle of responsibility in creating a Forge Target/Skills Practice world/environment/map.

One good way of practicing is the traditional Octagon that you and one other can respawn repeatedly to keep shooting at one another to perfect your aiming skills.

Well… I wanted something I can do by myself but also have it taken to the next level. Something with many different situational targets. Basically some sort of environment to practice skills that can translate into competitive gameplay.

Vague ideas:
-Close, Medium, and Far targets
-Moving targets
-Grenade throwing practice
-Situational practice (while flying through the air, while higher up, while lower, jumping using stabilizers to shoot, slide shooting)
-Some sort of thruster practice
-Ground pound practice
-and so on…
Bonus- Some sort of scoring method where you can compete against others scores/times

Hopefully you can understand what my vision is…

Something like this would be a hit and hopefully it’s also dynamic in that new target/skill practice can just be added to the same environment instead of having to scrap the existing map or having to create a brand new map… that may be wishful thinking though.

Please feel free to expand on these ideas and hopefully this vision can come true.

Thanks for your time

This sounds like fun. I may not consider myself a master forger but I should be able to make something like this. The only part that I don’t think will be possible is a scoring/timing system. I’ll think this over and maybe get started on it in the next few days if my homework and job permit. If you’d like to help or keep up to date on progress if I can do this feel free to ask if you see me on.

This would be awesome. Somebody has to make this.

Ice, get to work!

I have had this idea too but i don’t know how to make it work

if you have some ideas i can probably help you with the basic building and the moving target scripting

I’m working on this myself, but for vehicles… I’m just trying to get the scoring system to work. As for moving targets you just set say and explosive barrel to move in X/Y/Z direction with a timer attached for when it despawns so it spawns after moving so far, or to return to pos after n time depending on how far and how fast you want the barrel to there. My xbox tag is rew980980 if you still do’t understand what I mean.

That would still be six months ago. That counts as a old thread. But I do understand how annoying the dates must be for you.

Saying that i have just got it to work

I’m glad your issue was resolved. Please try to keep on eye on the date in the future and don’t revive old threads.
