Im gonna do a list in no order of stuff we really need in forge!
Main stuff:
-More operational Doors, bridges, gates: the first one in H2A was brilliant but we need more! Different sizes, styles etc
-More Terrain pieces: We need to have more sizes, so really small… to huge! Hills need to look like hills, ones in H2A were just… horrible and not useable!
-Different palates with textures: The same objects or similar but with covi texture, UNSC Military (green with UNSC on there), Snow (snow ontop of the objects), Stone (H2A Style), Ruin (H3 Sandbox style), Forerunner (H|R Style), Plain (The ones we see in H5)
-More Natural: H2A was a huge step for natural so now we need to expand on it, more trees, fallen trees and just trunks of trees, all the rocks need to look similar to the palate, found the H2A one didnt fit in much, only a few pieces did, Possibly craters, just ground pieces which are darkened soil or sand which dip into the ground with a lip almost which you can then go in… More Rocks, possibly water? and bushes which we havent had yet.
-More scenery: Main thing that needs to be improved now, we need more palates, maybe forklifts and trucks and just general vehicles which cant be used, more crates, more barriers/barricades, Road blocks from H3 and more variety of them, Maybe broken and crashed vehicles?
-More variety of walls: Brick terrain… but also ones where the corners can be shot off.
-Fences: On H4 there we’re the wire fences on one of the maps, they would be brilliant, Wooden fences, some can be broken, some cant
-Windows: Windows need to be able to see through, the ones atm are so dark and have so many patterns you cant see through them effectively…
What we would LOVE to have!
Dynamic weather: Bit like the Balls for special fx but they are weather instead, so Rain, snow, hail, Cloudy, Morning, Day, night, Sunrise, Sunset, windy, thunder and lightning etc, Now the reason i think it should be done by the orbs is because then we can use the scripting to do proper levolution dynamic weathering, so the map starts dark, half way through the match it starts to get cloudy and rain changing the style of the map.
New explosives: Things like airstrikes which happened at timed events, you choose where and when the missiles hit (this is a personal wish)
More Vehicle turrets: Things like the Turret in H|R (cant remember the name) But ones that are upside down, so the base of the turret is at the top (would be good for people that make ship maps)
AI: Ai are things people have been wanting since Reach, elites, Brutes, Grunts, Hunters, Jackals etc, Do it so you map there movement, you use almost like a pencil marker to mark where they walk, or if you dont mark they stay in the same position. Aswell as pencil marking where they walk, you can do it so when in combat you mark where they can go, either with a pencil marker or an area marker, so you have points you place around which act as the barrier (only works when all match up to make a complete area)
AI Vehicles: AI vehicles like banshees which either just fly in one set direction (could use as decorative in a map in the distance) but also like the AI soldiers can do it so there are just points you mark to make it so there in one set location and they just fly freely around that area and they react to objects. Also do it so they start off not in the vehicles, so you program them so if they are in range of an enemy and they spot the player then they get in the vehicle and attack or defend etc.
More spawning options: This is something ive thought up of, drop pods which start on the ground, you spawn in the pod (almost like an initial spawn point) You have the option of door on or off, the weapons they start off with start in the weapon holder, when you get out of the pod after detaching the door if its there by interacting with a lever inside the pod the play goes into an animation and as they get out they pull out there weapon and then you go into first person and your in control, you can also have another pod initial spawn point where its auto out, the pod hasnt got a door and as soon as the match start you jump out the pod and pull out your weapon quickly, this is incase you want a spawn point in the middle of a battle etc… In the scenery option you could also have drop pods which are just the same but not a spawn point, just an empty pod and have doors for the pods aswell.
If you guys disagree with any i have said, have better ways of doing them (or wording, i know im terrible at describing) or more ideas then please let me know and ill add it!
