Forge spawn help

Me and a friend are making an obstacle Mongoose track in forge. I wanted to recreate a gametype my friends and I played a bit back in Halo 3. Basically the idea is, anyone who spawns at the start point takes a mongoose and tries to make it the the end of the course alive, while being shot at my a sniper who has a nest up in the sky in the middle of the big circular obstacle course. At the end of the course, there is a one-way teleporter that teleports the survivor(s) to the sniper’s next to try and kill the sniper.

So the part we’re stuck on, is how to make it so that one person is randomly chosen to become the sniper each of the 3 rounds. I’ve tried placing one initial spawn point in the snipers nest and making the rest of the spawn points normal respawn points where everyone else can grab a mongoose. The problem we had with that is whoever was the host (me) was always chosen to be the sniper. We’ve also tried setting up a system of normal and weak respawn areas, but those didn’t count as a valid place for an initial spawn so everyone ended up spawning in the map default spawns when there is no available spawn. I thought about making the game variant Flood based, but the problem is that I don’t think flood can hold weapons. I just need a way to make sure that a random person is chosen as sniper. Currently we’ve be testing it with a free for all variant of slayer, but like I said, it only puts the host in the sniper’s nest.

So seeing as there are probably people around here who have more experience than I have with forge, I was hoping I’d get some advice here.

Not sure if this is relevant to what I’m trying to accomplish with the gametype, but would the game specific setting under the advanced settings for a spawn point do anything to help?

if the flood can drive, make last man standing the sniper.

I don’t know honestly. I have just been messing around trying to create a dominion map. Love how the dominion turrets work in any game mode.

Try putting the flood count to 15 and have the flood start with the vehicles and last man standing with the sniper.
