I don’t know if this is the right place to ask this but, I didn’t want to go over the “Halo 4” section, because most replies would have consisted of how 343i “ruined” Forge and what not.
Anyway, I’ve built a few Maps inside the Grifball Court on Erosion for Custom Games, set specific Spawn Points and Zones.
So, why in the heck is the game still spawning my friends and I outside?!
Any mature help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Respawn Zones need specifics to them (game type labels) in order to work properly. Try setting Respawn Points to specific teams, and placing them within labeled Respawn Zones. This trick has worked for me in the past, so hopefully it works for you too.
Ok. So, say I put in about 6 spawns in for Yellow team, I need to put those individual spawns within a Respawn Zone that is also marked for Yellow team?

when you hit Item options for the Respawn zone, and you see an option “Game type Lables” you should be able to chose an option called “Rsp_Zone” or something like that
try choosing that, and see what happenes

Are you saying you are spawning outside your intended respawn zones, or outside your intended map boundaries?
If it’s outside the map boundaries, does it happen at the start of the round?
To my knowledge you don’t necessarily need respawn zones, but you do need the initial spawns- 8 Attacker(Blue), 8 Defender(Red), 8 Neutral(FFA), as well as a number of regular respawn points that can remain neutral.
There’s 2 types of spawns- initial spawns and respawn points; you need both for the map to work correctly.
Make sure you are using the “Respawn Point” in addition to “Initial Spawn”. Initial spawns will only work one time, then fall back on respawn points to put respawning players back in the map.
Respawn zones (inclusively) do not act as spawn areas, rather spawn point modifiers. You put respawn zones AROUND respawn points to influence spawning to certain areas or to include/exclude teams.
I would also verify that the three initial spawns that are placed by default on Erosion have been deleted. (There is one Red, Blue and Neutral by default lined up next to each other on the map).

I can fix it, what’s the files name, I’ll look into it to see what’s wrong, what game-types do you want it for, I can set it up for all, then you can go back in and move spawns around see what I did and then you know what you were doing wrong, I’ve done this before, we can even do it together if you feel like it. Pm me on live. I live in MT time zone, so it might be a few hours or more difference.
