Forge Problems....

So can someone explain to me why Forge is on servers? This makes no sense what so ever and if the server -Yoinking!- crashes/or randomly drops which Halo 5 has been doing a whole lot since I’ve downloaded it so I lose about 4 hours worth of progress… I may not be the best forger out there and this may not seem like a big problem to most people who dont forge maps with alot of details. But this is ART , this is where your imagination and creativity for gametypes such as flood, snipers, and action sack.
Why the hell should it be on a servers, that constantly have problems and crash while I’ve been on forge for 5hours+ On my free time because in the end I know the maps are gonna be worth it because Im making sure to cover the details. Making multiple ways to defend the base vs multiple ways to enter the base and making it so nothing seems over powered and there is not power ups on the map.

But yeah the point…Why the hell is forge on servers ?! What if we wanna forge but dont have internet at the moment ?! So we have to sit there write down as much as we can before we possibly forget our ideas when they are at their peak?! Like seriously Forgers have been getting -Yoink- on by obstacles left and right , from game crashing to finding new ways to forge pieces with vehicles which sadly crashed the game…when you could just make the parent the vehicle and let the objects spawn attached to the vehicle so that way , its less weight and game should run smoothly ! Espcially when my physics and collision are 12% and 2% What the -Yoink- ?!

Yeah I’ve been having stability problems as well. The best solution right now is to hit the back button on your controller as often as you can think of. Every time you complete a section, or even just a small piece, quicksave. I’ve lost an entire map in a crash once, but since I started quicksaving, I’ve only lost a few blocks.

Forge is is online-only because it isn’t on the disc, but rather the December update added some files to your console that allow it to run on 343’s servers. I’d personally be willing to spare the extra gigabytes to have all of Forge in my console though.

So yeah, there’s your explanation. Forge runs online on H5 servers.

If you push through a several hour forging session without saving once… then part of the fault for losing maps is definitely on your end. Make sure you save often. It’s literally one button, or a second or two if you do it the long way.
