I’m curious, will the forge mode glitch be fixed in the next update? The bug where you cannot create new objects even though you still have budget left and individual item quantity left, because the universal item quantity is still set to what it was in the original games? I really want to finish my Strident Hvy Frgt.

Which Halo game are you talking about? Are you on Xbox or PC?
FYI each game has a total object limit that you can’t pass. Are you talking about this or a separate limit on the maximum count of a specific object?

OP is referring to total object limit.
I didn’t check in the flight, but if they did increase the count it would be in the patch notes. The object limit from what I understand is a value hard coded into the map files.

MCC on Xbox and the total item count. theres no marker that indicates Ive passed a universal limit and I still have 7 thousand budget left. lots of people were complaining about this.

Im guessing that means it cant be changed?

Not without careful considerations. The team has done the impossible already by giving us so many new forge toys to play with and more on the way. I am hopeful that this issue will get addressed.

As far as fan mod tools go, nobody has been able to do anything to overcome it. It’s a limit built into the game. I know Reach’s limit is 650 objects. If you force a new one in then the game just crashes. I can agree that it would be nice to have a warning about when that limit is reached since the budget system is outdated.
While I’m at it, be aware that in Halo 3 all the objects on the default version of any map will take up a spot but do not release a spot when deleted. You can find maps like Sandbox+ to start with that have all the objects lined up neatly.
I know for a fact that Halo 3 Forge in the Valhalla map fixed and phased does not work. However, It does work in Avalanche. I just hope they fixed it in season 8.

Very interesting. Yea hopefully they can fix it

No, I don’t believe this will be addressed.
Pretty sure the limit was increased in ElDewrito, so I don’t think it’s impossible…
They also need to fix the duplicate object with the d-pad action

That was likely because ElDewrito was running on the Halo 4 engine which has a higher object count than Halo 3 and I assume Halo: Reach. (I don’t know Halo 4’s object count limit.)
Edit: Nevermind. It was using Halo 3: ODST’s engine.
Every time when I go to forge on a map that is in the works, the save button is gone. Only save as exists so each session is a new map file on a single map.
Xbox for those who will ask.

Halo Online was Halo 3’s multiplayer running in Halo 3 ODST’s engine, with original assets that looked like Halo 4’s. As opposed to actually being Halo 4’s engine.

That fix will come with Season 8. It was already working right in the flight.

Thanks for the correction.
