Im making an infection map and i created a Chandelier. I then added 8 inv lights with small star flair to represent candles. Now when i look in that direction after generating the lighting the screen goes black. Is it just to many lights in one spot?
Try generation light by holding the down button on the D-pad, not sure if that works, but should fix a lot of lighting problems

Thats actually when it occurs is after generating the lighting. Im lost on this one.
On what map does this happen?

Alpine. I only have 57% light map used so im no where near the limit.
I think it depends whether you are using ‘spot’ or ‘point’ lighting. Also the direction of the light itself. I’m not sure how you have them set, but I’m guessing they are positioned upwards since they are candles. Try inverting them. If that doesn’t do it, I’m not sure what it is. I run into a lot of lighting issue like this. Exclusively in interior spaces.

Yes it is interior. And there facing downward to give the floor a little glow. Also they are spot. Trying not to be forced to delete the idea from the map. Invert as in face thrm in the opposite direction?

My inversion recommendation would have only applied if they were facing upwards. I’m not sure how to rectify this. I actually booted up my own map I’m experiencing the same issue. No solution so far. I hope someone out there that is more knowledgeable than I will stop by and save the day.
I almost feel as if it is an issue where you’ve reached the edge of the light itself. The issue I run into is I am unable to make the lights large enough so this doesn’t occur. If I place another light source with a light range that overlaps the previous light, I can kind of fade them together and the effect lessens. However, it is still present.
I do not know if that is the reason but you might be pushing the light limit in one spot. I would advise you to try and lessen it in one way or another weather that be making it shine from the center of the Chandler( like a glass one) otherwise I do not know what to tell you at this current moment

I think that Community Creations or this Halo 5 forum are your best bet. And a vid is always a good idea, we maybe could decipher what is happening if you can get a vid for us.

Will do then. If i cant figure anything else out. While this topic is going does anyone also know little tricks with sound effects. Like how to keep a sound in one room instead of it carrying over into the next for example. Does it depend on which way its facing?
Your map is probably overloaded or forge is just glitched and your map is ruined but try looking at your budget meters see if your maps budget is stressed anywhere if so tone that category down

Sounds play up to a certain distance that at the time of this post we have no control over. You would have to make the room large enough so that the sound isn’t able to travel outside of it. So unless you plan to resize the room your gonna have to deal with it.
Edit: Wanted to add that certain sounds such as thunder and battle riot travel throughout the entire map.

Thank you. God that takes a load off.
Hey everyone. Thanks for the input. I found out that whatever settings i had on the lights were causing it to crash. Not the amount of lights. But problem solved.
