Forge predictions?

So, sometime this week is the forge reveal, and apparently its the biggest evolution since forge`s inception. any ideas on what they’ll reveal? maybe forgeable ai, bigger forge world, etc?

I want to be able to use the legendary REQ card weapons and vehicles from warzone in forge

I’m sure a whole new pallet of forge pieces and more sandboxes to play on/in. I doubt forgeable AI will ever be a thing.

Perhaps saving of objects or copy paste? Mirroring?

I’m not getting my hopes up for forgeable AI (I’m not even a forger myself), but the fact that controllable squads are in the game kind of gives me hope that it is doable. That coupled with the whole no firefight thing makes me think they might have been trying forgeable AI so people can make their own firefight-ish gametypes. We’ll see, but again I’m not getting my hopes up.

What i want:
Pelican and Broadsword pulled directly from Campaign into Forge mode as pilot-able vehicles.
Forge AI
Custom Objectives, like Defend this area or Kill everything, spartan ops and firefight basically
All REQ/ unlockable Amor, Vehicles and Weapons available in Forge to spawn.

What’s actually going to happen (I think):
Forge delayed to post launch DLC, though pre-created Forge maps will be available at launch but not editable
Small improvements and new imo minor improvements like Day/Night lighting, new tools like Undo or save build template.
Brand new Forge palette, new terrain sheets instead of full terrain editor, new blocks and other pieces.
File Browser delayed and released alongside with Forge.
Can’t spawn legendary vehicles or weapons because they want to ‘keep them special and exciting’ or some BS like that, just to limit us and keep us playing Warzone.

Honestly i’m not expecting anything super mind blowing-ly awesome tbh, but prove me wrong 343i.

And the sad thing is, he managed to add Forge-able AI on much, much weaker last gen hardware all by himself, yet 343i with a massive budget, next-gen hardware and a highly experienced team can’t? Give me a break.

Where is this news that Forge will be revealed this week? I keep hearing people say this, but I’ve seen no sources. More details please! I want to know where to look for it!

How about, editing the sheets themselves? And I hope forge isn’t post launch.

This is the best thing they could do with Forge atm, make your own Firefight/ Spartan Ops missions, -Yoink- that would make Forge 100 times better. The replay-abillty would be crazy. You could make anything you want, beach assault silent cartographer style? Check. Massive air and ground battle? Check. Survival mission like Reach’s Lone Wolf? Check.

While I agree 343I should be able to add this but wont, this really isn’t the effort of just one guy, you have to remember that this mod is only possible because of the amount of time and effort many people out into making the xbox 360 run unsigned code and then creating custom executables for Halo to bypass the map checks, then on top of that making the tools needed to actually edit the maps. while he might have figured out the AI on his own which is fantastic, it wouldn’t have been possible without the combined work of a large modding community.

Either way that’s pretty cool XD

He actually got it to work for CE and 2, though that was probably because those were on the PC, I can’t imagine it working on the original Xbox.

Yeah, he didn’t create the code that runs the Xbox modifications, nor did he create the original AI Forge map/gametype in CE by himself, but he did work on the project and for the following Halo games.

i have a feeling… and this is just a gut feeling, that itll be AI… and day night cycles… just a gut feeling but its what im hoping for… and different pallet selections aswell as the forge we had in H2A

i do hope however if they introduce AI they also have the custom objective idea like hold this area, defeat all enemys in this area, destroy this thing type idea, ive always wanted to creat my own custom missions in forge, so i can have season 1, mission 1, mission 2 etc etc etc, all players on the same team and you have to fight through AI… that would be my new map pack project…

I’m thinking more along the lines of H2A’s Terrain pieces, maybe this time they’ll be way more to pick from in that palette.

You’ve read my mind, i think in Spartan Ops they used Forge to spawn in the Props and custom objectives, i notice it wheni was playing how vague and simple the objectives are, like Defend or Kill everything, Why can’t they enable us to forge AI and custom objectives?
