Forge: Pre/Post-Match Scene Editing

There’s been talk of tools to edit the cutscenes that start and end every match in Forge, and I’m curious how deep that will go.

I noticed in a Breakout video that when it showed the Spartans walking up, the camera was FAR closer than usual and centered on the frontmost Spartan. It was an awesome angle, and it made me wonder if we could place the intro/outro camera freely or edit motion paths for each one.

I’m already imagining a map intro where the camera is situated behind the Spartans, panning up as they step toward a cliff overlooking a Forerunner structure or something…

Or have both the teams walk right up to each other in a stand off. And imagine what happens when more than 2 teams are involved… This could make for some really epic stuff.

True. I’ve been wanting to be able to make pre-match cutscenes since that camera tool thingy in Reach.

This has a lot of potential if they leave it as unlimited as possible.

Also, you seem to get a lot more “shots” in the intro. You get a few panning shots of power weapon locations, only then do we actually see the spartan intro. This makes me think we’ll be able to fully create our own intro sequences. Could probably do a fly through of the map as an intro. Possibilities should be endless.
