Something that the Halo community contributes well to is the Forge mode. The creations, game types, and experiences are absolutely amazing. These forge creations have everything from traditional competitive slayer to new fun and unique game modes. There’s many great forgers out there and Halo gamers should be able to join in on these creations together in an easy way.
This then leads me to my question for you all…
Would you want a Forge Playlist for Multiplayer?
Obviously they would have to wait a bit first for the map creation numbers to build up high enough but once that eventually happens, there would be a playlist that would have roughly 5-8 forge creations that would be on 2-4 week rotations. These rotations would keep the list fresh and enable other creations to get in the spotlight. The forge maps could literally be anything from traditional game types to fun made up games and experiences. All a forger would need to do is submit its forge creation to a designated page/area here on waypoint, attach any necessary instructions/details, and conduct a community voting system that allows favorites to be added to the rotation by 343i. Some creations have rules that may need quick explaining and that could be done in a 5-10 second video or graphic instructions in the beginning as the game is loading.
This would enable the showcasing of fantastic forge creations out there, forgers would get recognized, it’d inspire even more creations, and best of all… we would get to experience them all together!
If you have not checked any out before, go to youtube and see all the greatness that has been created out there.
Here are some great youtube channels to get a better idea of various forge creations that can already be played:

P.S. What would you call the playlist?

–Community Forge
–Forge Fiesta
I would never play it, but I hope you get what you want!
Its a cool idea and if it gets popular enough, the possibilities will be endless
I guess this all depends on what forge is like in Halo 5
So we will have to see
Call it Forge Fiesta
I would love to see the community cartographers disbanded entirely and a community voting system with a forge playlist promote maps through several tiers, ultimately into the regular playlist. This is how ubi did it with far cry and I think despite its issues, it was far more fair for all involved. You didn’t have to “get in good” with anyone, or “know” someone. It isn’t that I had a problem along this line, I just don’t think many of the cartographers are really all that great and shouldn’t be given the “elite” status of having to be sought out by aspiring forgers. You didn’t have to hope that one of the cartographers liked your map. With ubi’s system, the population that would benefit from playing on it would decide for themselves.
That is all I want to see different in how maps are promoted into playlists.
As for forging in general, I sent 343 a 30 minute video on what I would like to see improved already. They already know what I want.

Forge Fiesta is a good name… I like it. I’ll add that one to the list.

Yeah I agree with you. I actually edited that small part in what I wrote. I also think that the Halo community should have a strong say in what forge creations would be added to the forge playlist rotation. So I think community voting would be a good idea. There would just have to be a system in place so that there is variety in the rotation and not the same thing continuously… that’s the whole point to having a rotation of forge creations. But yes good call

Why not? It’s like an endless stream of free DLC.
Forge playlists are great. I have enjoyed forged map playlists across Halo’s 3, Reach, and 4. Many times the forged maps are superior to many of the maps that ship with the game.

Exactly! If anyone has played or watched videos of what’s been created out there for forge, then you know how great a Forge Playlist like this would be. It’s not like you’d have to play it but I just know that it’d become a popular playlist among the community.
It definitely would be like an endless stream of free DLC.

That is literally the perfect name
It is generally a good idea, this would make the multiplayer of H5 not die for at least four years.
It would be cool to have the community vote on their favorite map and that map could become part of the other game modes forever.
I’m sure you know this by now, but you can change primary and secondary block colors in forge mode in Halo 5! if you wanted to make a covenant based map, do a purple block with cyan secondary color/stripe. Can’t wait! forging is probably the thing I spend most of my time on in Halo.

I wasn’t aware that information on Halo 5’s Forge Mode was released… I had honestly not known of the ‘secondary block colors’.
I know a full reveal of Halo 5’s Forge Mode has yet to happen but please share any details that has been released so far…
