Forge Palettes Exposed

Normally I wouldn’t do this, but seeming that its related to the issue at hand, at least some of you are curious what the Forge parts will be, check ClassicHaloReach or Halo4Follower on Youtube.

Map Ratings:
Ridgeline: 10 (Another “Forge World”)
Solitary: 9.0 (Another “Forge World”) + New Pieces
Penance: 6.0 (Small Palette, can’t forge too good)
Breakneck: 9.5 (Another “Forge World”) + New pieces
Battle Canyon: 8.5 (Another “Forge World”) + New pieces
High Noon: [not shown]

What are the new pieces?

I have CEA but haven’t really checked out the maps since they’re not on the playlist yet.

Oh Hai Halo4Follower!

Oh and its not ClassicHaloReach

its www.youtube.com/haloreachclassic

You give Breakneck a 9.5? I personally give it a 7. I give Solitary and Battle Canyon 8s, since they are pretty restricted in terms of geometry. Penance gets a 2. Ridgeline earns a 9, since it is missing the Brace Large. If what I have heard is true; and High Noon is missing any blocks over 3x3, it gets a 9, too.

Prisoner and Beaver Creek are forge worlds? Lol okay buddy.

> Prisoner and Beaver Creek are forge worlds? Lol okay buddy.

He means it will have the pallet of Forge World, and then some.

Ridgeline has the most options, including most of the buidlings, ramps, etc. from Forgeworld. It also has new items like rocks, trees, and some new buildings.

Solitary has several new bridges and inclines, plus some doors and walls. Also included are most of the blocks.

Battle Creek has most of the blocks, a few bridges, and some new rocks. Also has a few new gravlifts.

Damnation has almost nothing. A few new gravlifts, but that’s it.

Headlong has some of the Forgeworld pieces, but no where near what I expected, to be honest. They could have put the pieces in there and created a great play area, but they chose to add only a few items.

Haven’t seen Hang 'Em High, but I know it has the new pieces like tombstones.

He was about to go outside, but then he stopped :frowning:

Oh, and yes it does.

Not sure exactly what you mean…

Just watched it. Seems like a pretty big let-down in my eyes. Why go through the trouble of making the map with those extra stone/forerunner pieces, but not actually make the map out of them?

It seems like, especially with this relatively simple and straightforward map, 343i didn’t take full advantage of everything. Why couldn’t they have simply made ALL of the tombstones forgeable? Why couldn’t they build the bridges out of the forge pieces? They are straight and colorless, so why would it be so hard?

Sort of dropped the ball there I think.

Probably has to do with 4P splitscreen issues. That was my first thought, at least.

High Noon is a 10. I saw a bit of it in one video, I’ll try to find it.
