For real, yo
I’m talking about terrain stuff and destructible environments, weather effects, and open spaces.
I just hope they don’t add a ton of bloom to “make the game look pretty” and all we can get is framerate issues

Sorry I can’t take you seriously.
Forge is a must for Halo 5. The frame rate issues was because of Halo 4’s engine (I believe) and it was fine most the time unless your split screen . Halo 5 will be 60fps and 1080p I’m sure they will be able to run Forge world or any forge environment very smooth. Forge made Halo so much better and I don’t understand your argument your trying to make. The Xbox one will run Halo really well along with the Cloud power.
I would like to have a mix of map editor and Forge. You could build entire maps in the same way as in Far Cry series and you could still use Forge in every map, including the maps, which are made with the map editor. Forge gives some silly things to do, like splattering a spartan with a building. Map editor wouldn’t allow the same silly things to happen.
As for bloom, it needs to be completely gone in my opinion. It’s an annoying effect, which doesn’t make the game look better. Plus it makes me feel bad when there’s a lot of it.
They should just collab with the creators of Project Spark, Far Cry*, and Minecraft and build a map editor from that.
I think Forge could work alongside a proper map editor, though I’d sacrifice the former for the latter any day.

It would be best to keep Forge, and rework it to have more scenery pieces like in Halo 3, as a Map Editor. A new Map Creator could be made that would be accessible through the computer and allow users to have all the tools 343i has.
Why couldn’t forge just evolve into a map editor?
