I was just forging a soccer stadium (football if your not from America) and I was Mabye 1/4 the way through it. I was getting super into the forging, so much so that I frogot to save…only for This to happen.

I didn’t know Forge was online. I thought it was always offline, unless you wanted to download someone else’s map.

Nope, that’s why you can join a freind while they are forging w/o an invite.

Actually only if they have you added.
Pretty sure they won’t be doing that, would probably require them totally revamping how multiplayer lobbies are done.
This wouldn’t be a problem if 343’s servers weren’t complete -Yoink-…

That seriously sucks man! Features like these should be able to be used offline. I don’t see any reason why the have to be online only. And same with spartan customization. You can’t customize your spartan offline because its tied to the REQ’s which are online only. In fact Halo 5 has been the only halo game that I’ve had an actual reacquiring issue with connectivity. 3, ODST, Reach, and 4 all were very much solid, but 5 is almost every other time something is unavailable due to connectivity issues.
Forge is going to be on PC soon (so long as you have Windows 10), so if I were you, I’d hold off until then. You’ll even be able to play with friends in it so they can help build and test the maps. Then you can transfer the maps to Halo 5’s fileshare.
The worst part about Forge being online only and it’s a huge oversight… our maps are stored on their servers. I can still go back and play my Halo 3/4 maps but in a bunch of years when they kill the servers for H5 all our hard work building stuff will be gone

I’m a Mac user so that’s not happening for me
Yeah, I hate that it’s online. I don’t get why it’s gotta be that way, either.
