Forge is so big we need forge on its own disc, with playlist for forging with/without friends, A playlist for map rating, download area
Forge isn’t big enough to fit on its own disk. It can fit on the main 1 disk.

But they should make forge big enough for it’s own disk.
Give forgers more to do and more to work with!
It would also free up more space on the main disk for more features in theater mode.
This is one of those “in a perfect world” scenarios, however…

The discs that are in Xbox One are a lot different than Xbox 360 discs. The Xbox One uses blu-ray discs that can hold a lot more than the normal discs of the 360. All four Halo games+ were on one disc for the MCC. So if Halo 5 is all on one disc, that could leave 40gb for Forge. No need for another disc.
That dosen’t mean we couldn’t put it on another disc and work with large scale worlds and features. Think about it this way, you could put it on one disc with halo 5, but if you separate it, you can make the story longer, add more features, and make forge world or something even better with it.

Correct, the Blu-Ray disc holds much more space.

Very true. I’m still thinking with a last-gen mindset.

If Frge is on another disc, then less people will play custom maps because it would become a chore

the thing people are missing is forged maps still need to be playable on the engine, there’s a reason forge maps can’t be too big or cluttered
I don’t think we need two discs. That’s the last thing we need because people will just complain even more that they have to switch discs just to use forge.
If forge is so large that the 50 gig blu ray disc could hold the full game and forge then It would likely be that forge would be dropped into a Day 1 patch that is only downloadable.
Not really, no.

This
Well if they dont put onto another disc… They just need a better way to share and download, playtest and stuff… Cause the way u have to find another forgers map is a head ache…

It’s going to be downloadable on to your xbox, most likely so… it won’t matter.
What forge needs is a streamlined system to promote post-forged maps to a matchmaking playlist that is dedicated to community content. Without the matchmaking framework around post-forged maps, then 90% of the content from forge will go unused, unplayed, and unappreciated.
Or AI Bots for forge. So at least we can play on our own maps.
Or both.
If they have the time and resources to make forge big and complex enough to have to be on a separate disc, then you are officially talking to the happiest camper alive. I doubt it’ll happen, but l agree, it would be amazing and should be done if possible.

In a perfect world… hell yea. I’m not one to go about doing all the forge stuff, but if people want it, it would be cool if it was available to those who do it… say an extra $10 or something
Are you all really forgetting that Xbox One games don’t even use their discs except for license authentication?
I believe that even with the 50GB capacity of the Blu-Ray discs we will see a significantly sized first day patch. I think they will be cramming as much as possible into this game and while I don’t believe that a dedicated second disc for Forge will be necessary, it sounds like 343 is putting a significant emphasis on Forge content and you won’t be disappointed.
