My game arrived in the post today. Installed it, installed the 9gb patch. Went to play the game but obviously couldn’t because the patch also locks you out until the 27th. Went offline and could play Campaign. Multiplayer option was greyed out though.
Does this mean that you will not be able to access a single thing, even Forge mode, offline or will you be able to access at least something offline after the patch validates everything and unlocks itself on the 27th.
What’s the deal here? If you’re going to need to be online to even access Forge mode then what gives?

Lol forge is delayed too haha 343i really does suck. Halo Reach > Halo 5! Can’t wait for BC, I’ll be playing forge, BTB and all the other 20+ playlists on reach that halo 5 won’t have
Yeah Forge is delayed to December, you should really read the update they released a bit ago that details all of the new stuff you can do with it, it’s incredible.
Its a shame it is delayed but if you didnt know its delayed then you wont know about the new stuff in forge… trust me when you see the new stuff youll understand why its delayed and be glad it is! id rather them delay it and get it right and have amazing new stuff then rush it and not get half of the stuff in the game!

Halo 4 died within 1 month, halo 5 will die within a month also. Have fun playing forge, BTB, and split screen! Oh wait lmao
As other people have mentioned, forge won’t be out until December since it’s been highly improved from Halo Reach’s and bugs in it need to be worked on, hopefully everything will be fixed soon and we can have it before December.

Literally the only thing you can do offline in Halo 5 is play the campaign by yourself.

I think its more of a marketing thing to release it before holidays and compete better with the other releases and to give extra population boost to those of us who may have bought it at launch.
