Forge maps made by me. Feedback please.

I’ve recently tried my hand at Forge mode and I have managed to make 2 pretty decent maps. This is my first try of Forge so please be gentle! I’m very proud of them but there is always room for improvement. Please let me know what you think, or modify the maps and send them back to me.

First map I made is Impact Station (at Impact)
It’s for Slayer, SWAT, and capture the flag. I’ve only played it in 1v1 and it was a blast. It looks a small map, but there is a lot to it. It’s basically a floating space station. I think it’s very cool and spent hours making it.

Next I made Tight Spot (at Erosion)
Only for Slayer or SWAT so far, and not completely finished with the details but ready to play. This is an oblong shaped, large platform with 2 levels hovering over the green lake. Tight on the bottom floor, open on the top floor, with many shortcuts between both. Strafe guards. Weapon and grenade drops scattered all over. I think this could be insane, intense action in 4v4.

Jetpacks could ruin the maps as I don’t use it and haven’t tested for it, but that is not to say it won’t work. Capture the flag on Impact for instance, it would be too easy to get to the flag with jetpack, but without it you can only go the way intended. Like I say, it might work, I don’t know, I’d love to hear your thoughts. I do know it would make it too easy to get to the best weapons on both maps, but would make you a quick target so it might balance out.

Sadly only a few of the people I know in the real world play Halo, so I can’t really test out the maps fully. It would be interesting to see how they’d hold up in 4v4.

If there are any of you reading this that like building and sharing maps and generally like playing all Halo modes and games, and you aren’t a cheat, and you aren’t insanely good (cos it’s no fun dying all the time) by all means check out my file share or send me a FR and we could try out a game or two.

Because file share doesn’t work (still) I’d love to see your maps too. Leave your gamertag here and I’ll check out your fileshare and tweak and send your maps back. Just for fun.

First off, well done on completing two maps, most people give up before they even consider getting them tested.

Now to your request, here on Waypoint there is a community creations forum (found HERE). This is where people post their videos, images, gametypes and most importantly maps. You’ll likely have more luck finding fellow Forgers to test your maps there. Some of the pinned threads also have links to larger Forge communities and you might like to try your luck there.
