Who feels like we need more maps in matchmaking?
Easy fix would be for 343i to take the maps that the players make and have a vote alongside the weekend playlist and the 2 maps with the most votes get added to matchmaking.
Any thoughts, comments or concerns post them here and let’s see if we can’t make this happen.
I would definitely like to see some community maps make it into the general map pool eventually. Once forge has been out for a season, they should add a few of the most popular maps to the social playlists. For update frequency, social playlists you can add maps whenever. For ranked, I think the map pool should be locked for the season (I also think a seasons ranked map pool should match whatever the competitive/pro map pool is but that’s a different topic).
Either way, I think it makes much more sense to introduce forge maps through social playlists to get more testing/feedback.
I agree but for a social playlist they need to add voting, first for the map and then for the game modes that can be played on the map that everyone voted for.
That way they could find the most popular map/game mode combination.
