Does anyone else hate the fact that someone can simply edit your map and take all authorization for it? I feel that if you make the map, no one else’s name should show up under author but the original creators of the map.

lol that made my night
Yea, I’ve heard there were a lot of problems with this recently.
I remember this being a problem for a lot of people in Halo 3, and as far as I know nothing was ever done about it. I wouldn’t get any hopes about there being a fix for this. Even though what you suggested would be fine.
I found a guy with a ton of cool remakes. I was about to message him telling him he did a good job then I found out he just stole them all.
Some people are -Yoinks!-
They are indeed, some of the Forge devs commented about this on twitter recently along with updates to the File Browser
I remember when I first started forging. I made a map that few people liked, but I played with some random kid and he had my map and claimed it as his own.
Well…one way you can get around this.
Create a secondary account to forge on, and do NOT friend it, only follow… Gold is shared on all accounts, so this one can be a “mule”. Only forge on it until you are almost done, then bookmark it and finish it up on your main account that you want credit for. Post notices via your favorite websites, screenshots and video captures, youtube, etc, as soon as possible, so you have proof that you get credit for yor own hard work.
It would be nice if you could digitally sign your masterpiece to lock it from being edited and saved.
I actually didnt know this or i would’ve never touched the forge but yea i agree. People shouldnt be able to take your map. There should be a system where they have to request a copy and wait verification from you and you can shoot them down if you want. Also something that stamps the map as yours. Alot of beta softwares has data constantly displayed in a corner somewhere. A stamp like that but holding your GT/date made/your title for the map being displayed at all times would be really cool.
I had the same thought a couple days ago.
Hm, thats horrible. It sounds a bit like SoFloAntonio, but if you have heard the news, THE KING HAS FALLEN! rip soflo xddd
Oh nuuuuuu! i have a friend who has a awesome Forge map! hopefully they don`t steal it hue hue.
