What am i doing wrong and why doesn’t the curved walls line up perfectly because i tried everything to make a perfect dynamic prefab template
Had to google that ![]()
You want to make a doughnut!
Could you use short cylinders and arrange then in a circle? Probably what you are doing anyway.
But work out your angles and positions on a piece of paper (yay, trigonometry) and then manually input the rotations and coordinates as numbers. Instead of trying to nudge then with magnets etc
If you build your prefab around the 0,0,0 point on the map it should all translate directly off your graph paper.
thats what i’m doing with my prefabs. sometimes, its like the game engine won’t recognize that I’m moving a piece 0.01 units.
i would like to be able to import custom geometry from other software and retain dynamic settings
I think it will be tough for you to get answers with the info you’ve given. Your details are all pretty general, so it will be tough for anyone to give you helpful info.
Are you trying to create curved walls, floors, towers, or what? And what’s the problem you’re running into? Is the curve completely not working, or just slightly to curved inward or not curved enough once you’re finishing your build?
ah never mind. its only been a week and i already have questions. i need to put in more effort.
More effort is usually a good thing, but so is having questions. Don’t beat yourself up for not being perfect, you’ll end up with unneeded bruises.
