Forge livestream's lack of good answers.

Anyone else noticed that the questions that they answered had no legitamate questions about forge? They were mainly questions along the lines of ,“What are you most proud of, etc.”

Honestly, I don’t even know why they included a section of answering questions. As you said, there are thousands of people asking way more important questions. If they just looked at the twitch chat for example they would have seen the massive amount of people asking about Infection/Gametypes. I’m actually quite frustrated that they even refuse to acknowledge whether or not we can expect returning game modes in future. You would have expected since they were revealing Forge, they would have mentioned something or acknowledge the spam…

I asked 3 different questions on twitter, each more important, yet completly ignored for unhelpful questions. LIKE WHY.

Same. It’s a joke. Saw many people asking very valid question over there too.

It showed a few new things but to be honest the gamespot one showed us what they did, most interesting part was looking at some of the new items, especially the aesthetics, like the car on the ramp and the piece with the core spinning inside etc… Was hoping for a bit more on forge to be honest…

Because that bit was never meant to actually address anything, it was just there to eat up time make “help people feel more connected to the developer” which is ridiculous anyway.

I imagine the gametypes are there, I mean with the amount of new and awesome things they added (scripting, nighttime, effects), how could such classic gametypes be left out.

No one knows. Their silence on the matter is indeed concerning. What is it exactly, they want more focus on Arena/Warzone for more REQ sales so they delay custom game features? Throw out Forge first to quiet people down? I honestly don’t know. It makes no sense to remove the most popular gametypes that have been features in previous titles for almost and over 10 years.

Their crappy forge preview didn’t really address anything either.
They showed, what, maybe 100 blocks specifically and maybe another 30-40 in the snow map?
We already saw the eyes sparking from the gamespot feature, which showed things that were then reshowned in this as well.

Heck, more time was spent on showing the new reqs than Forge, what we came for, itself.

To top it off, all of the questions were, like I said, crappy and obviously favored towards 343 in so they couldn’t be hated on anymore for any unlikable answers to the ACTUAL questions.

Now you’re getting it. We don’t have to be mad about it. Wouldn’t you do the same thing if you were in charge of this whole thing. You wanna put your company in the best light. Nothing wrong with what they did. It just is what it is.

I would love for the cars and stuff to at least be drivable. Parking a large truck in front of an important entrance would be an awesome strategy. Like running things over with a forklift in reach. I don’t want useless cars if they are basically textured blocks.

As far as game modes, my hope is that they are refusing to address it because they want it to be a big surprise on launch.

If I was in charge I would start off with:
-Firing the story writer and MP developer Mike, for the story was crap and the Mike, as seen in old tweets(which I can’t unfortunately post otherwise it would be “calling out” and bad), didnt like social playlists and deem them unnecessary, which is probably why we didn’t have social gamelists at launch. I hope he’s getting shunned for his actions, and by his silent demeanor in the stream, there’s a good chance he was.
-Actually be upfront about community questions, and take as long as need be in order to make an actual game that has everything in it at launch, playlists, forge, theater, campaign, all of what Halo needs to be actually good. I would even go above and freaking beyond to make sure that the game would actually raise the standard for quality.
-Overall, give a Halo game that the community could actually be proud of.

I’m quite proud of Halo 5. It’s really only Waypoint that has all this bi-… complaining. If you want constructive criticism you go to reddit, for everything else you come here.

Obviously you don’t read many threads on here if you think there aren’t many constructive ones. The more sensible ones seem to get buried faster anyway.
