This is just a simple question I have for anyone who may more Forge savy them I. So I am making a Tie Fighter and I want to use the little beacon light for the laser blasters on the front and red dots on the back, but when ever I reload into the world, they have a yellow light on them.
Is there a way to keep them from, lighting per say? I dialed back all the settings to near 0, but even this does not work.
If I remember correctly (been a little while since I forged) the beacon light piece has a yellow-ish flare over it at a certain angle of view that is quite annoying and doesn’t change without turning the light off.
If this is your problem, I sympathize with you because I’d love to use the beacon lights so much more without the permanent lens flare on by default. I’m pretty sure its a bug since it appears when loading into the world. My only advice aside from a 343 bug fix would be to:
A: Try adjusting the lens flare setting in the object properties. Last time I tried I don’t think it fixed it but may be worth trying in case I remember wrong.
B: Try another piece if possible, there is an object texture overlay that one of the settings (Edit: Emissive) causes the object to pretty much just glow the color it is set to, and might be a similar effect to what you are trying to accomplish with the beacon.

yes, that is the issue, which sucks cause the beacon is a really good piece for the blasters. I have looked at using the Emissive look, but have not found an object worthy, or close enough to take its place.
