Halo 4 will soon be home to the Forge islands coming 11th April. The size of this map amazes me and I can’t wait to see what happens when the community is unleashed on it.
But can Forge Island compare to Forge world from Halo Reach:
I honestly would prefer Forge World but Forge islands looks like it could be just as exciting to forge on.

this is my point of view of course.
Yeah, can’t quite say until I actually get to use Forge Island, but truthfully, the community has always wanted a VERY large flat space and this is the first time we’ll actually be getting one.
We doesn’t have Forge Island yet I know, but Forge Island look amazing. Kind of remind me the beach in Halo : Combat Evolved. Love the water/island theme !
By the way the Forge World was epic!

Comparing the two just doesn’t make sense. Forge Islands is being added because of the demand for flat terrain to build on. Forge World was added to implement multiple builds spaces in a varying but uniform in aesthetics environment. But for what Forge World was, it was a lot of wasted space when it came down to the actual individual maps. Although on a map-to-map basis, the bulk of Forge Islands won’t be used, either, it won’t be to an extent that Forge World was.
Also, there’s no reason why someone can’t prefer both for differing reasons.
Would it be posible to fuse the maps in halo 5? There was a huge ocean in Forge world that would be a big enough spot for the great anvils.
At this stage Forge world is my favouret but lets see what comes out of Forge island first.
While islands looks like it has potential, I just feel like it doesn’t live up to forge world… I learned how to climb up every single mountain and peak, I have been in countless successful raids, and it just felt more adventurous.
Forge World is way bigger, so I’m gonna say Forge World.
Forge Islands - loving the flat terrain.
For Forging, I’d say Forge Islands, as the land is completely flat. But for machinima purposes, I’d much rather use Forge World.
