I’ve just downloaded the Forge Island twice, Xbox and ingame
It is still telling me “players failed to load content. A player may be missing downloadable content.”
What is not working?
Does this seriously require the War Games pass to use it?
I’m having the exact same problem. 
I have downloaded it 10 times and it says the exact same thing to me.
I have the season pass yet I have the exact same issue.
I was playing it an hour ago and I had no issues. Did this suddenly start up for you guys or have you not been able to play on it at all?
I’m having the same issue now as well. I was able to download the maps and play it fine a couple of hours ago while connected to live. But now my brother is trying to make a map and save it to his profile, offline, and it won’t work. Even though this is the only console I downloaded it to, and the usage terms say it will work for everybody on the same console. But I guess they lie.
Couldnt play it at all for me.
Guys! Just figured it out! I had two map packs downloaded onto my xbox hard drive. The first pack that came out that was “free” for awhile and then was blocked. Another was a pack a friend of mine bought that we downloaded onto my xbox but i never bought it so it’s there but i can’t actually play the pack. I deleted them from my xbox and now my forge island works! Hope this helps!
Ill try deleting those packs but I purchased both of them and it just simply didnt work.
I would let 343i respond, before deleting the Map Packs, if you purchased them. Otherwise you would have re-download them once again for no reason :/.
Let me see if my Forge Island will load, if so then it is not the Purchased Map Packs.
Did everyone here get the Title Update notice to download?
So from that one guys suggestion it seems to work just delete the map packs and and other xbox live profiles that didnt purchase those map packs.
It works fine for me, it is not the Map Pack’s causing it.
Unless you are just referring to the people who downloaded the Map Pack’s for free instead of purchasing them later on, then it is a possibility I guess :/, still strange though.
I would not of thought that would of affected it, but I have purchased all of mine, since I have the LE :/.
Do not see what would cause that, but I know you do not have to purchase the War Game’s Map Pack’s to actually use Forge Island, it is meant to be accessible to everyone like the other Forge Environments.

Ok well I had the same problem I deleted and re-downloaded probably 10 or 15 times, finally I deleted all the other map packs and it let me play forge island .
the only thing that I can think that it possibly may have been is that it may have been that those map packs had the license from other profiles on them I have not re-downloaded the map packs yet but will soon and see if it works still.

I’m having most trouble on one Xbox It goes to the loading screen but I reroutes to the title screen when finished and on the other it says I don’t have it and it won’t go into the loading screen this is also happening with Majestic Maps. 343i fix these bugs

I don’t think this should be the cause of the problem but I thought I’d check. Do you think you need to be connected to Live to use this, or have a Gold account rather than a Silver?
I’m probably wrong though!
Edit: Someone above said they deleted all the map packs and then it worked, so perhaps it’s something to do with those?
forge island wont work for me either
they seem to be of no help so far. people are not happy. for us it works on one xbox in the house not the other. but pointless if we cant link and they are both new models machines. 343 are saying nothing!?. we were so happy had big plans for a halo easter instead spent it stuffing around with trying to get it to work one friend has killed his xbox trying so I give up. but the for 4.40 update for my ps3 killed it to so after having had a ps1/ps2/ps3/xbox/xbox360 all for nearly over ten years some even longer without ever having a problem at all and were all purchased on release.then having both a ps3 and xbox360 not really lasting a year only difference I became a part of the online experience witch was not really a choice thing since thats the future maybe time to walk away from what has been the only real form of entertainment/fun in my life. because it like apple is running sony/mircosoft and halo4 is being hacked to the point where it is just getting silly so how long till its accounts and goes from silly to serious I know I am ranting but just had to get it off my chest.343 say something !!!.

This is impossible to read and burns my eyes a little just looking at it. Paragraphs and grammar go a a long way.
My Forge Island worked immediately and I haven’t had an issue with it yet. I have only played it once though. I assume everyone has already tried deleting and re-downloading right? You could also try re-installing the Halo 4 disc too, but I’m not sure if it would help.
