I found this pic, which is very interesting. We see Cutter, Anders, Isabel, and Let, of course the interesting pic here is John Forge. Last we saw, we was delivering the SoF’s FTL drive to destroy Shield World 0459. What I’m wondering is, is this an edited pic to make the fanbase believe that Forge will pop up at some point in the game? I think this is the case, to make us go “whaaaaaaaaaat??” If it is true, then how the hell did he get out of there? Did the Covenant capture him, specifically Let, and eventually they came across Atriox? Personally, I think this pic is edited to make us think Forge will be in the game. I wasn’t able to watch the stream, so did they say if this is some multiplayer DLC?
Maybe as an additional leader,because there is an store symbol in the corner.

multiplayer at least for halo wars isn’t cannon so why not have him.

One of the short stories in Halo: Fractures seriously hints at his return. This spoiler concerns ‘Into the Fire’.
In the short story Into The Fire, the final plot-twist reveals that the main character Rion is John Forge’s daughter, and she’s been obsessed with finding him for years. At the end, she finds a lead that might lead her closer to him.This storyline will be continued in Smoke and Shadow, which conveniently comes out before Halo Wars 2. This all suggests a build-up to a reveal of Forge’s survival in my opinion.

Exactly, he died let’s leave it at that. It’s also like saying that Noble 6 will be in Halo 6. Though his death is a lot more controversial than Forge. But it shouldn’t be we all saw him die.

I’ve heard he’s a multiplayer DLC leader. But with Rion looking for her father, I’m really hoping it doesn’t turn out somehow he survived.
