I love forging and personally think Halo 4 has the best forge mode of all the games but OMG IT HAS SOME SERIOUS ISSUES. Random items i’ve meticulously placed disappear all the time, it takes FOREVER to get my pieces into position, and what is with that camera?! It’s completely mental, especially when rotating big objects.

When I place scenery, that usually disappears if it gets knocked by a grenade or something, which I don’t want it to do. Other than that, I don’t understand how you can place 30 flashy revolving power cores worth 10 bucks on Impact but a building is the most damn expensive thing on the map.

i’ve forged a space ship on impact and every time i go back to it i see holes everywhere leading into outer space i i have to fill them in it’s annoying since all the forge pieces in halo 4 have gaps in between them it’s annoying i have to put a column between each window. all i want is a map with no gaps/holes in the roof/wall/floor
i will likely never forge on impact ever again after this.
Always make a back up copy of your favorite maps. Especially if you are working on more than one map at a time. I had a great Impact map overwritten by a Ravine one.

yeah i’m kinda OCD so I usually save several versions. That doesn’t mean vehicles are guaranteed to be where I wanted them…

the best way is to save it to your fileshare, it’s safe there.
