So I had the idea from minecraft that we should be able to spawn signs that are small, medium and large sizes (the larger the sign gets the bigger the text gets).
If we had this then forges like me would not need to put in the description how to play the map instead it could be filled with crediting people for their help and how many players is supports ect.
Also this could work well with load out cameras because then all you need to do it point it at the sign then the player can quickly read it in their initial spawn screen.
I think this is a good idea but what does the forge community and the rest of the community. I Think that the most simple ideas seen the to be the most useful.
PS sorry if my grammar is bad.
Hmm… the problem i can see is people placing vulgar and or offensive signs all over the map. there would have to be limits as to what can be put on the signs, and that would be hard to implement/regulate.
interesting idea, that could be good, but would need tweaking, i think.

Given that descriptions, map names and service tags all have inappropriate words locked, it shouldn’t be too hard to do the same with this.
Yeah I think inappropriate words ect are already locked, like you can put inappropriate words in descriptions already so I would think it wouldn’t be to hard to do the same thing for signs.
Just because words are locked doesn’t mean people can’t put inappropriate things. You can insult someones race or gender without using derogatory words, for example. Also, i’m picturing people putting signs with Ascii art of various… things, if you get my meaning. sure, there is nothing stopping anyone from making such things out of forge pieces, but the signs would give people a much easier (and cheaper on the budget) way of adding bad things to their maps.
Sure, it could be useful, and could be a effective way of adding to maps. but you also have to look at how people can abuse them, cause you know that they will be abused.
Not saying they are a bad idea. Just something to think about.

Yeah I see what you mean hopefully if this was included the halo community would use them for their true purpose not for messing around.
Also I had an other idea that you maybe able to get images from halo saved on your hdd and put them on the sign but I guess that just makes the whole inappropriate thing worse… unless they found a way to restrict bad images.
