I’ve always loved Forge. In Halo: Reach they made Forge World which was on a way bigger scale than Forge in Halo 3 (although I miss the sense of “coming together to build something” that was in Halo 3). I propose to take it a step further. I think they should build a planet with five Forge World sized areas, each with three to five “map” areas to build what ever you want. And, like Forge World, you wouldn’t be limited to one map area. It’s like having five Forge Worlds, each one different in design. I think that this is a good idea. Post if you think so too, or if you think it could be better. Keep it clean.
What about different maps for different areas. Like a human city type forge world, a covenant ship type forge world, snow type forge world, etc.
That would be great! That’s a way to make it better!
Good thinking!
one thing to note is that multiplayer will all be within a holodeck type thing, this may influence the ideas behind the new forge in halo 4. I’m just hoping for something big.
Heres a wild idea, ADD AN UNDO BUTTON/OPTION
It should be a proper map creator
There isn’t much need for massive forge worlds, whats the point of having a massive map if only a small part of it is used.

more area to choose from

Because there is that potential, and I have actually made a map that uses most of the island on forge world.

I love it, and actually had a similar idea.
I thought of a concept - dubbed Forge Galaxy - where you had an interface similar to that of Mass Effect’s galaxy map; and scattered around that map would be the home-worlds of all species within the Haloverse (excluding Precursors, and I guess the Forerunner’s would be one of their more important ones). By selecting one of these planets you’d be given a themed Forge playground for you to get creative with. The environment - and objects opened to you - would be largely based on the species in question, but you can also mix it up with objects from other races.

That’s also a good idea.

You just took it a step further than I did. I commend you.

We’d have to wait for the next gen consoles for something like that.

That would be really hard for them to do right now. It would probably be possible in the late future though. Great input.

Yeah, I know. It’s a nice thought though. Possibly something to look forward to in future Halo games.
Why can’t we make all the maps heavily forge compatible?
Also a object snap. God knows how many times I wanted to throw my controller through the window trying to get Colosseum Walls perfectly lined up. Freaking controller bumpers… up, down, up, down, LOL. ARRGH
Ps. DROP PODS. I love a good Barricade Drop Pod, but an actual drop pod would save a lot of time.

There are actually many ways they could improve on that. Personally I love to use the cordinates function.
