Forge Host Control as well as Forge glitches aka the 90 degree glitch and the active camo over shiel

OT: I agree with the first two problems. They can be quite annoying sometimes.
Just set the powerups 5 snaps higher if you want them where you want.
There are two things that makes text a lot easier to read: Proper capitalization and punctuation. If you don’t have time to use them when composing posts I don’t have time to read what you wrote. Sorry.

Agreed.

I think it’s four, not five…
Issue one is easily solved by forging with people you trust. Camo/OS glitch is easily solved by placing it .4 above where you want it I believe. The glitch where an object spins more than you have it set isn’t too major and can be solved by changing the yaw/roll ect a few times.
These are not update worthy. Sorry. I’m sure 343i knows about them and will hopefully fix them for Halo 4.
> Greetings, ladies and gents of the Halo Waypoint Forge Forum! I am not entirely certain that this is the proper location to place my requests, but given the options I had available, it seemed to fit. Now, I know that everybody has an opinion on Reach’s Forge, and you all may be tired of sifting through them, but nonetheless I feel the need to post my own.

> Occasionally, I like to put my incomplete works on display for several friends of mine. However, I find that many of the people I wish to show my creations to tend to act in a rowdy manner – deleting items on the map, impaling each other by spawning Grids through their midsection, what have you. I know of a wonderful solution for such an issue: an option that existed in Halo 3, which prevented all players except the Party Leader from entering Edit Mode. The return of this option with the upcoming Title Update would solve the problem I am having quite nicely.
You raise a good point, and it probably wouldn’t be hard to implement this feature at all. However, I do have one question:
If your friends are actually interested in what you have to show them, then why are they being “rowdy”? Is it not possible that your friends haven’t the slightest regard for your map, and are simply amusing themselves in whatever manner they can while you talk their ears off? Is it not possible, in other words, that they simply don’t want to see what you’re working on, and are hence only joining as a favor to you?
You can simply solve the problem by not inviting your friends to see what you are doing.
> There have been many times when I have tried to use the Rotation Snap feature, only to witness it breaking in absolutely absurd ways! For example, I will often set the Rotation Snap to ninety degrees, only for Forge to only rotate items to multiples of one-hundred eighty degrees! I find this glitch, which I have dubbed the “90-Degree Glitch”, to be quite irritating; it unnecessarily complicates the flat placement of various objects.
You’ve misidentified the problem. Rotation-doubling can happen with any of the snaps, though it’s more frequent with bigger snaps. But yeah, I’d like to see this fixed too.
I suspect that it’s some kind of bug that results from the rotation being converted from standard Euler XYZ, to the two-value axis-angle representation used by the game, and then back again. Something gets rounded or truncated too much during one or both of the conversions, and BAM! Doubled rotation.
> Finally, I have noticed a bizarre little oddity involving the powerups. Whenever I place a Custom Powerup, Active Camo, or Overshield, it “jumps” (for lack of a better word) downward by about four tenths of a world unit when I release it. This makes them quite inconvenient to place; it’s far too easy to lose them inside of a platform! This is unmistakeably a bug, and I hope to see it fixed. To clarify: when I release my grip on a powerup, it should not move by even the slightest amount.
I find it annoying as well and hope to see a fix.
> These are all of the bugs I have identified in your Forge engine, 343 Industries. Besides these various oddities, I believe Forge to be an excellent editor. I have faith in you and believe that you will see this thread and address it, and I hope that you will be able to fix these issues in time for the new Title Update.

> P.S. To anyone who may feel the need to respond: please, don’t allow my atrocious spelling and dreadful avoidance of punctuation to infuriate you – or, at least, don’t allow my complete failure to properly follow the syntactical rules of the English language to compel you to express your vexation in this thread. I only wanted to post here to notify 343 of the bugs I have discovered.
There are browsers with a built-in spell check. Try one.
Some of those bugs can be a little annoying but you can get around them so it’s ok.
One of the things I would love is the ability to set our own z,y and x axis on the map. So for instance if you forge a plus sign which is angled it’s difficult to get the right angle for the corners. It usually results in a lot of trial and error which is time consuming.
