I’m probably alone on this, but does anyone else think this ability is completely overpowered. when using a spartan it’s aoe is not even close to that and he has to put him self in danger by jumping into the middle of a battle. I rarely find sense on the forums, so im guessing i will have people telling me its great and how balanced it is.
I agree, I compare it to the Spartan jump as well. The hog is faster, has a defensive aura for units and has a guarantee stun which does the same if not more damage. But I guess forge was made a bit later when they got more creative with leaders.

It’s not a stun, it’s a slow vs vehicles only. The Y ability can’t affect air either. Pre-split your army when about to engage the Forgehog. I think the aura is a far bigger problem still.

I think its in a WAY better spot than before at least. Forgehog dies in about 2 seconds to air/ or choppers or grenades

Forge hog is finally in a good spot with this new patch lets not get carried away. Now 2 Decimus Scarabs and 2 heroes is another topic lol inside joke but honestly I think the game is the most balanced its ever been and most fun for me. I can’t stop playing. I really wished we could have gotten a season 2 dlc I would pay $60 for that in a heart beat.
Can’t say whether it’s OP, but I get creamrolled by people using the forge hog + 100 trillion marines within the first 5 minutes of the match. That’s just life though

lol creamrolled, never heard that before
From what I can tell the anvil round is fine now, although my view could be warped by months of the Forgehog generally being the single most powerful weapon in the halo universe.

Spartan jump doesn’t affect air too though right?? I swear the forge Y, does something to infantry, my units stop in their tracks for half a second. I always split. I’m not saying it’s a problem, just saying it’s easier to use than a Spartan jump, and Spartan only has the jump in his arsenal. I could be imagining the infantry semi stun, anyone else think this happens? I’ll confirm next forge.

yeah it immobilizes them with huge damage, but they can still shoot then a brutal slow to top it off
I think it needs to be buffed 300%

Spartan can hijack an air unit or any vehicle.

Since the patch i have hardly any trouble playing against forge using my main shipy since hes now more a glass cannon with less health, more dmg received from av and air and its nerf to the aura. Im fine with his abilty being that strong (its still not THAT strong imo) in exchange for his massively decreased survivabilty.

Nice to see another Shippy user, I’ve never had a problem against forge hog because I usually go ghosts with shield and ram him a million and 1 times and it goes down in seconds. Its the best thing ever. BTW pain hmu for some 2’s soemtime I’m looking for a solid 2’s partner.
