FORGE HELP: Teleporters not spawning in Invasion

In Halo: Reach Forge, when making an invasion map, if you set an object to “INV_VEHICLE” in the Advanced menu when highlighting an objects properties, and set the Spawn Sequence to whatever phase you want it to spawn at, it spawns, as it should. This also works with objects, not just vehicles! It’s how I make gates look like they were blown open. I’d set some objects as “INV_GATES” then add debris labeled “INV_VEHICLE” on the next phase. This way the debris doesn’t show up in the first phase but the second, when the objects acting as a gate in the first phase have disappeared upon advancing. That said, this method does not work on teleporteres. They either don’t spawn at all or just just spawn in the first phase and stay there. I have been tinkering with this for a while. If anyone knows how make teleporters in Halo: Reach’s invasion spawn after phase one, please let me know.

Interesting… this sounds like it might be a bug. Would you mind submitting a ticket over on the Halo Support page so that the support team can be made aware?

I will. The only “fix” I found was to just place an object over the receiving end of the teleporter and label it as “INV_GATES” so that way you can’t enter it until you get to whatever phase you want to. But I could see that being a major problem if someone wanted to have the teleporters go back and forth, working both ways. I also found that if you don’t use my fix, the teleporters do in fact actually “appear” on the selected phase, but before that phase is active, you won’t see the teleporter’s object model, but you will see it’s particle effects and it still has its functionality which totally defeats the purpose of having it spawn at a certain phase because you’re not suppose to be able to use it until then. I’ll include that in the ticket as well.

I’m sure that’s great info for them to have!
