Forge Help please!

So I’m forging on Parallax and created two Half rings and welded them together to make one whole ring. Now, I wanted to set a script on the thing to move a certain distance with a toggle switch, and then return to its original position after toggling the switch again. The script works wonderfully.

However, the ring does not. Whenever I use a script to rotate or move offset welded objects, they tend to move differently. Like bottom ring will move a few units further than the top half ring, despite them being welded objects.

Is this some sort of weird glitch I’m unaware of? Is there a way around this? I experienced the same thing when I made a sphere (using rings, I custom made a sphere, it is many objects). I wanted the sphere to rotate but when it did the Rings came undone and would rotate in random directions. Maybe I just can’t forge correctly, but after watching tutorial videos I feel like maybe I’m experiencing a glitch. Can I get some insight please?

Can anyone help??

Try tweeting tom french, he’s a lead forge designer and usually helps out people who need some.

As far as I know te rotate: offset script for round objects (and generally for groups) is broken.

I spent like 5 hours trying to find a way around the glitch so I could make moving covers around a ring but it just never worked

Make sure local movement is off. Not sure what else would cause that issue.
