I cannot get my cameras to do ANYTHING I want them to.
I finally figured out how to get the initial camera to not SHAKE…but that’s as far as I’ve gotten…no other changes to the settings seem to do…ANYTHING really. None of the time values entered change anything…I’ve got a “Start” camera and an “End” camera…(had some “Custom” ones in between, which made things MUCH worse…)
Bet I can get now is one camera which zooms to the other camera in about 1.5 seconds, though I have it set to 90 seconds…
HELP!
All I can say is that you’re not alone. Cameras are definitely bugged right now. I’ve never once gotten a map intro camera to do anything in-game. My team intro cameras work, but they sort of skip over the last spartan, so even that’s not perfect.
My cameras do random stuff too. Only way I could sort the intro cam was to delete all cams.
That is what I had to do. I deleted all of my cameras and now maps don’t have SHAKES anymore.
Wish there was an intro option in forge like H5. My cameras were acting weird until i played a match with all human players, then they worked fine without adjustment. Have been ever since.
…interesting…I have opted to go without intro cameras, and instead just use the intro lineup camera thingies.
I’m just opting to wait under the assumption that this will be fixed in Season 3.
…one can hope.

Map Intro Cameras and other match flow objects work fine – Argyle, Detachment, and Empyrean are proof of that. I suggest opening those maps to look at how they are setup, potentially even creating a prefab from them and then using that prefab in your map. Also, this post from the Official Forge Map Checklist thread goes over how they should be setup. If this isn’t clear, let us know.

Yes, setting up cameras is not very intuitive, yet.
If the camera is shaking, it’s more or less because they are set up the wrong way and the game doesn’t really know what to do. So it’s basically in a loop, always jumping to the same camera withing milliseconds.
Here is how you do it correctly:
Camera 1
Sequence Order: 1
Camera Blend: Start
Blend Time: 0
Duration: 0.10
But then you place a second camera, not too far away. See it as the target-point for this camera movement:
Camera 2:
Sequence Order: 2
Camera Blend: End
Blend Time: 3 (for example. Higher value = slower camera movement)
Duration: 0.10
Now you most likely want to jump to a different location. So you place a third camera:
Camera 3
Sequence Order: 3
Camera Blend: Start (Very important! It’s START again!)
Blend Time: 0
Duration: 0.10
And again, you set a target for this Camera movement:
Camera 4
Sequence Order: 4
Camera Blend: End
Blend Time: 3 (for example. Higher value = slower camera movement)
Duration: 0.10
Long story short: Cameras are somewhat supposed to work in pairs.
(Well…of course, you can do even more advanced stuff, if you understand how the settings work. Then you don’t have to think in pairs. But for beginners…)
However:
Seeing a preview of these cameras is not yet an option and hopefully(!!!) gets updated soon(!!!)
