I decided I wanted to have some fun today in Forge and make my own first Halo 4 map. I ended up making 2, one on Impact and one on Ravine. I saved both separately and played both with a friend just fine.
Later that day I decided to play them again, I noticed something wasn’t right. As I tried to load my custom map I had made on Impact, it wasn’t loading… it was ignoring the fact that I was selecting it as a map variant. It was sticking with the map I had selected previously. I tried selecting another map and it loaded fine, then back to my Impact map and nothing… game ignoring the fact I was selecting it for loading.
I then noticed something even more strange - it had the appearance of a Ravine map (the illustration was the Ravine illustration), but it was being filed as an Impact map (which it was).
bump, anybody willing to offer support about this issue? Why the map changed from an Impact map to a Ravine map, but is still filed under Impact? And doesn’t load?

happened to me aswell when i first got the game, it was the best map ive made on H4, and i made another one on ravine and the other one was gone, i was furious, i was in the beta stages of testing aswell
the same goes for me, i’m also getting kind of frustrated that no matter how many problems there are, none of them are being adressed, unless they’re already on their way of fixing it.
i know it’s hard to reply to every post, but this is a major glitch.
it’s really infuriating that i’ve spend hours on a map and it suddenly vanishes, without any way of getting it back.
that should not be happening in any finished game, the whole feature of saving something and being able to reload it is the most basic of features, why is nobody trying to fix this?
what in the name of everything that is holy is going on with this game!!!???
hey spartans i just had this issue happen to me for the 2nd time now and was lucky to recover both my forged maps.
my reply to this post might be few years late but my 5 cents worth about this prob might still help some others…
i had luck with recovering my glitch lost maps by entering the spartan hub - file browser - map variants - temporary history
hope this helps save future lost maps
